Yeah didn’t you look at my transmission? I had to pull it apart and put a shorter in put shaft in it to match the bell housing I ordered. It will definitely be 4wd. I live in Utah and do lots of 4 wheelin

I've been thinking of this exact swap. I can't wait to see the final product. Good luck.

The A340E was already mated to the 2JZ on the Supra so the bellhousings would match on that if you went auto.

I really love manual transmissions. I don’t think I will ever switch back to auto. But I have my original auto and it was working really good when I replaced it for a manual.

I think the Supra used an R154? I don’t recall. The Tacoma had the W59 and R150/F.

Yeah r154 for mkIV supras. Very similar to r150. I think I already mentioned the thrust washer and shift forks

I got a clutch for a 1jz so I could keep my shift fork. Everything is put together that way and it seems like it will work. I ain’t planning on running much over 300 hp so I think it should work like it is.

    I o
I ordered a clutch from eBay that says it is good for 325 ft lb of torque and 319 hp. I have replaced a clutch in only 1 hour before. So I ain’t afraid of it. If it burns out I will put a better one in.

All you need is one and its a downhill slope from there. Also one to make it into history

I’m learning as I go. There is no videos or forms that tell you what it all takes.

I would think youre more likely to do that when launching it, not breaking the tires loose? idk, always up to the person who owns the truck and their judgement

I have done pretty of stupid stuff in my life. Actually 1 year ago today I ruled my 99 taco. I was a sad puppy. Insurance covered it. And I bought this double cad with the money and still had a little money left.
This made it into my history book
