    Hello all,
As you can see from the photos the white paint issue is plaguing me. Dealership has been great to me before and they knew the issue with the white paint but would not cover the repair under warranty. Anyone else have the same issue and better answers from Toyota to fix it? I find it hard to shallow a $3000 repair for a known factory defect with the white paint.

    Damn man that really sucks...

Looks like you have rust issues as well. So the dealer saw the rust on the door sill and wasn’t willing to help?

Good luck man, hopefully you get it sorted out without shelling out 3k.

Little update. Their Toyota rep will cover 1/3 the cost... that being at least something, I'd still have to pay $2000... :( @!?k. I guess the next step is to contact Toyota directly. Hope to hear from any others with this issue.

The only place my truck has issue is where rocks have chipped it, and a spot on the drivers side door sill from my leg/shoe hitting it everyday a minimum of twice a day for the last six years.
