Hello All - so glad to finally post on these forums. Probably like everyone else, I've been stalking these forums for years mainly looking at pictures of these beautiful trucks without much reason to join. That has recently changed :)

For at least the last couple of years, I had been mainly looking for a 100 Series Lexus LX470 and actually almost traded in my Mk7 GTI (Daily Driver) for it. The reason behind the searching was mainly because I had been looking for a vehicle for towing purposes of a trailer (don't own one yet) and track car. Reality smacked me hard though right before pulling the trigger and realized that driving a truck of that size as a DD for commuting into a major city that is mostly bumper to bumper traffic was not a good idea.

Fast forward 2 years to right around DEC 2020 and my father surprised me out of no where and told me that since he is retired, he no longer needs his 2007 Tacoma - 2-Door Access Cab - TRD Off-Road and told me he wanted to give it to me, which honestly ranks as one of the nicest gestures anyone can do considering what this truck can probably be sold for. As you all can imagine, the excitement I felt was very overwhelming. All he asked was to hold onto it until the winter was over and to purchase a new RAV4. It is now sitting in my driveway and waiting for the scheduled date at the DMV for title transfer.

Anyway, as a car enthusiast I am mostly familiar with navigating myself around cars however I have to admit that it will take some time to learn all the specificities of this truck. In the past few weeks, I have learned a lot already from reading and researching these forums and I am thankful for all the info that many members have already contributed and I hope that I am able to repay the community in the future with any knowledge or experiences I have gained over the years.

I'm glad to be a part of this community and hope that all can be patient with this (me) newbie ;)

    Thank You.
