Just rolled over 153k miles on my 2013. I replaced the spark plugs, and oil with Mobil1 5w30 full synthetic and oem Toyota oil filter. Costco has 6 quarts for $27.99 right now. It's hard to beat that price.

I got an alignment today after replacing my upper ball joints.

Then I had a 315/75-16 mounted on my spare so I could take it home for test fitting. Obviously I will need to trim all the wheel wells for the trail; but I wanted to see if I would clear the cab mount for street driving. It just barely rubs the mount at ride height. So I’ll wait until I get the Alpine Designs cab mount welded on in 2 weeks.

35 vs 33 is beef! Gonna look better & I’ll gain another inch of clearance.

This comes second hand but be leery of that brands cab mount relocate. There have been a few people on IG showing theirs cracking off and taking piece of the frame with it because they put a lot of force on a long arm with minimal attachment points on the frame.

Interesting. Thanks for this. I’ll do some research & talk to my shop that will do the work. I can always back out and just do a chop instead. (I’m having them do this while the truck is in there for lockers & gears).

Took it out to the M.O.R.E. desert race outside of Barstow this past weekend. Had a couple of friends competing in one of the heats, so the boys and I headed out to check it out for the day. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

The little guy loves posing with the truck, hah.

Posted a few pages back in steps... Full debadge and front windows at 42% tint. Also shot the front Toyota emblem black. Ordered a set of matte black badges but may just leave as is. Like the look.

I got started on my FJ transfer case swap today. The idea is to eliminate all electronics from the factory 4wd system, thus making it more reliable.

Installed a dual Garmin dash cam set up in the truck this weekend... I got the DC56 for the front and the DC Mini for the camper shell. Currently the rear camera is unpowered and the front is powered via cig. lighter. I've got their proprietary parking mount cables coming in the mail and will hook the front up via the cab fuse box and the rear will get constant power from the camper dome light and switched from the brake light.

The cameras themselves connect via bluetooth and wifi to your phone, so no need to run a cable between cameras like some of the other setups I have seen.

Their proprietary hardwire 'parking mode' kits are annoyingly expensive, but I've wanted a camera with that functionality after a neighbor tore the bumper off my last car (while it was parked) and didn't leave a note. (I was able to figure out who it was based on the toyota-branded trim pieces they left near my car that were obviously missing off of their car, right next to the paint swap of an appropriate color and height... and they fortunately fessed up when I sent the police to their apartment... But how often are you going to be lucky enough to figure that shit out?)

Picture quality is decent, as is the video... It seems to be higher quality if you pull the memory card out to transfer to your computer compared to transferring a full video file via the camera's onboard wifi.

The mini is super tiny and hides really well (had it in the cab for a day just to try it out). The 56 is a little different- it has a screen so you don't want to completely hide it... So the mounting location is a little awkward but not terrible. The voice commands and timelapse function on the 56 are pretty great, worth the upgrade from the mini IMO (not to mention slightly higher image quality)... However the collision warning, and lane departure warning are just annoying beeps that I disabled immediately.

Took a quick road trip to NE Pennsylvania, enjoyed some rural roads and buttered perogies!

2.5" OME lift, Fox 2.5 coil overs, all pro expo leafs, ubolt flip kit w/ upgraded bump stops, 1.25" wheel spacers, 16" Bronze KMC Impact OL wheels, 295/75/r16 Nitto grapplers, beige Softopper, Brute force front bumper w/smittybilt winch, RCI rear bumper, caliraised rock sliders, TRD IFS skid plate custom swingout tailgate w/spare tire mount, TC bed stiffeners, Magnum force CAI, KC spotlights, tacomabeast headlights, rear seat molle panel odds and ends, hi lift, MESO interior lights, and a fuck load of patches… more planned for later.
Need help, this loud creak has been driving me up a fucking wall. Coming from the front passenger wheel well. Recently replaced upper and lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends. No sign of damage or blown out bushings. Noise started after I installed SPC uppers but it sounds like the strut might be the issue.

    https://youtu.be/IAP4ANUFaCA

Edit* I can't replicate the noise by shaking the truck manually.
