More or less. I love seeing people come to the exact same conclusions via different means. The scientific method is beautiful. Especially when there's 250k people actively trying to punch holes in your arguments.

 

MVIS absolutly ripped over the last few days

 

Some of the analysis done on GME is pretty damn impressive. My boomer neighbor (that sold the GT3 re: don't buy puts on GME joke, that has a 6 screen setup for day trading and has made a stupid amt of $ since the 90's in the market) finally even admitted he was thoroughly impressed by some of the DD he read on it even though he still is buying puts HA. Pretty cool that there are so many apes using completely different methods and all arriving at impressively close numbers.

 

Read, might raise the price target for my next sell from 200 to 210

But seriously, some of this just points to the idea they have a lot of tricks to use to try to get out of this. There’s gonna need to be an event to push this over the edge. They know the situation, nobody can afford to cover the number of shares being discussed at even 500/share. So nobody is going to force them to cover knowing it will keep running up the food chain taking everyone out. It’s better for them in the long run to keep earning interest from the shorts, who just try to keep it stable while they earn their money elsewhere.

Well, they've got:

• Over $500m cash on hand which could go to radical transformation plans or possibly even a dividend of some kind.
• Shareholder meeting coming up 6/9 where the board is solidified.
• Ryan Cohen still needing to purchase a couple-a-few million shares (IIRC?)
• A deeply loyal ape army holding their shares as hard as possible and locking up a big chunk of the float.
• Regulations coming into effect that may put an end to SHF shenanigans, as well as raising capital requirements on loaned securities, thereby raising the cost of any shenanigans significantly.
• A rising share price, further putting pressure on SHF and further raising the cost of shenanigans.

Is it possible he bought during ATM period to effectively offset the sells while also enabling him to buy without costing an arm and a leg?

Is that illegal, and therefore a terrible theory?

I don't know that he needs to per say. I think he has the option to, but there's some time that has to pass and forms that need filled or something like that. I haven't looked into that aspect much. If I come across anything I'll let you know.
