I can get a set of bald 37s for 25 bucks

Great to have one as a guide to see how much one needs to hack off the body to fit big tires

 

Cause they love torque to yield

 

Too bad the stud kits they make for wheels are ugly

Say goodbye to your door hinge at the bottom and say goodbye to 3/4" more if it is bald haha

 

2 door hinges is for suckers. 1 makes the redneck Lamb door conversion easier

 

You have to cut some of it off for 35s, 37s eats slightly more than an inch into it so you usually lose the bottom bolt hole entirely, still stays on if you weld the hinge to the body lol

 

Bald 37s will be closer to 36s

 

What are your guys favorite torque wrench brands?

 

I’ve got snap on at work. But precision instruments is probably the best one for a not super ridiculous price

 

I use a Kobalt digital most of the time and a Tekton for things that don't need as much accuracy (so basically anything but engine building haha)

 

CDI outta Georgia. They make em for snap on but their house brand is cheaper, and a pretty blue

 

What would you use for a timing belt job?

 

Whats your budget, the timing belt on a 5VZ is all low torque stuff. This is what I use

Isn't the crankshaft bolt 217ft/lbs if I remember correctly? Under $200 budget

 

Ah true, I forgot about the crank bolt haha, I have a big bastard of a torque wrench I pull out for stuff over 210lbs, but I don't think you'll find one wrench for the main belt job and the crank haha, too wide of a range for there to be any accuracy, plus anything that goes over 120lbs is gonna be 1/2" drive

 

Haha nice! I was looking at Gearwrench, Husky, CDI for 250ft/lbs in that range

 

I think my big bastard is Icon, it was what was available after my old MAC exploded and it has been good, done a tacoma crank bolt and a 2jz crank and tons of suspension shit just fine
