    Do want.

Is the LED strip controlled by the DRL switch?

It’s earlier in that video. Around the 6:45 mark.

Are the DRLs full time amber? I emailed morimoto and they told me that there is no amber option and that this photo was perfectly timed.

I feel my braincells being killed off in masses by watching that video. I'm not even sure where to start.

    1) 500% brighter than stock! Facepalm. No, not even close. You mean to tell me a single LED projector is now approaching 2x HID output? Get real and stop BS advertising.
    2) Implied that since 2nd Gen's are older their headlights must be worse than newer 3rd Gen. Funny that is the opposite of true. Measured data here, 2nd Gen had phenomenal headlights.
    3) They use a toy light meter unable to measure LED lights in their tests. Like WTF. Aren't you supposed to be 'professionals' that know what you are doing? And you are making videos promoting the results with this garbage?! Here is the meter they show, good for incandescent sources only and costs $40. As a lighting enthusiast I run a digital full spectrum $800 meter for accurate results, perfectly capable of measuring any light source, incandescent, halogen, LED or HID, doesn't matter. Let that sink in for a moment.
    4) They claim the stock headlights are 120 lux at 25', which translates to about 6,870 candela (Cd). I have the stock headlights measured at 973 lux at 18', which translates to 29,320 Cd. Yes that is the stock OEM bulb rating. They have watered down the OEM light rating to 23% of actual output to wildly boost the perceived benefit of the Morimotos. They rate the new Morimotos at 720 lux at 25' which is 41,800 Cd. So in actuality based on their numbers, it isn't 500% better, it is about 40% better than stock bulbs. Weak. A set of Philips Racing Vision +150/200 bulbs will net a 60% low beam gain, and the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade will provide near a 100% gain.
    5) And on and on

    2nd Gen headlights:

These highly misleading youtube videos published by uneducated LED companies trying to push product for profit while attempting to look like they know what they are doing are just exhausting.

Not gonna lie I was really hoping to see something that just looked better and not some eBay looking stuff. I loved how they look in the Ram and the 3rd Gen but i don’t like how these look. Guess I’ll stick with my retrofits for now

I’m looking forward to your review once you have these headlights to test. I currently am running the UHM with the pro headlights, and they are very bright. I must say that these look extremely nice, with the amber DRL. Very interested what the final numbers read on these lights, not just someone trying to sell them.

The video posted specifically called out and showed the amber version. I’d wager the rep didn’t know what they were talking about. That or the video is misleading.

I’ve checked the morimoto website and since emailing them, they’ve removed all info on the amber DRL option lol

No way, the amber definitely exists. I’ve seen many videos.

He said the 2015 doesn’t have a DRL, weird my blinker and DRL are the same bulb.

Looking forward to your review on em.

I'm really on the fence about em style wise. Just looks like the 2nd gen is trying too hard to look like a 3rd gen. might as well do the front and bedsides facelift too

Just another inaccuracy in the video. Some base model 2nd Gens didn't have a DRL but the majority of them do, utilizing the 2 stage amber indicator.

Yeah I’ve got emails from two different guys from their support saying don’t offer them in an amber DRL. The photos from social media were making me feel like I was seeing things, I guess it’s just terrible support services.
