From what I'm reading, I think maybe 700lb springs up front would be slightly better, and I need to get rid of these expedition rated allpro leafs. I just don't know how else to get 3 in of lift in the rear. All the other leafs I've seen are around a 2 in lift which is not what I'm goin for. Would love 650's up front, but there may be too much sag.

I'd like 3 in of lift in the rear, and 2.75 up front. Love that stance.

 

Can you post any pics of your front set up?

Also you could go with some new hangers in the rear, Archive Garage makes some beefy ones. Then throw some Dobinsons 112 leaf pack, if you find the rear is too stiff you can take a leaf out of the pack.

I'm by no means an expert, Mike can probably get you more dialed in.

 

Cool, I'll try and snap a few pics today and get those posted here. I love the way the truck looks right now. Some would think it's sitting too high in the back but I've not put my RTT back there yet and a few other things.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what would new hangers do for me? Does that smoothen out the ride a bit? Do they change ride height at all? Wondering if I can just take a leaf out of my current allpros...

 

I'm unfortunately not too familiar with All Pro's leaf springs, but I'm assuming you could take a leaf out of the pack.

The hammer hangers would add an inch of lift.

 

352 springs IMS no reservoir 220mm, jba, 1.25 wheel spacers, 1 inch body lift. Put 2 inch blocks in the back till leaf springs and shocks come in. 2021 TRD Pro wheels and 285/75r16 Yokohama MTs @Crikeymike

I think he means the All Pro's are saggy, can't support the weight they are rated for.

Actually that's not true at all. My allpros are not sagging at all, and that's the problem. They are incredibly stiff. The lift they give is awesome, but I need a softer spring.

 

You're bushings might be locked up then, Ive seen them damaged.

Or put Hammer hangers on, they take the edge off HD springs, enjoy the ride every mile on and off road, and avoid a bent-hanger-on-a-trip scenario

 

Do you have a link for the IMS rear shocks for a 16 Tacoma? Dunno if I’m just missing it or it’s not there

 

No, I have them on my website but they're hidden until they become available. I'm thinking July or August at the earliest before they'll be over here.

As of yet, they haven't been released.

So it was a 10% hike across the board on all dobinsons parts...too bad. Lost that "value option" appeal. Time to hurry up and wait for fox to reappear in the wild.

Did I say that? No, didn't think so.

I'm an engineering planner. Everything that meets minimum performance threshold, gets put through a price to performance evaluation. A 10% price hike causes a severe hit in any products value. Dobinsons no longer offers a top value based on my metrics.

It's analytics, don't take it personal. It's not your company anyway, why do you care?

 

Most aren't even announcing it, they just change them on the fly. I've seen 4 or 5 brands this year randomly up their prices and some a lot more than 10%. At least we announced Dobinsons announced it.

I think Apache off-road and Treaty off-road announced dobinsons price increases earlier last month.

I mean I think it all makes sense. The government printed a crap-ton of money. Everything is going up in price from food to autoparts to lumber.

 

Prices on all input costs for all goods have shot-up.


Fox, ICON, bilstien, pro-comp and whoever else going to raise their prices as well. Its just a matter of when.

If you want an autopart of any kind, you probably should just buy it right now. I don't advocate credit card debt, but in a situation like this, I believe it makes sense to use one.

This is a big deal I think. I would serious buy anything you might need right this second.
