Honestly, the cost inflation. this time last year i drove down to Jersey and almost bought that exact same truck.
exact same truck, year, trim, options. only difference was is was silver and had 83,000 miles. And it was $6,400 cheaper at DCH toyota Brunswick.
The taco at Lundgren dodge is an "okay" deal for todays market.

are you going to be trading a car? you'll get more on your trade too to offset the inflated values. otherwise i'd probably wait a year for things to come back to "normal"

He sort of did what I did a while back and put his vehicle in a 'less than ideal' trade in condition.

I read an article yesterday that talked about why the auto prices have gone bat shit crazy.

-folks in the city don’t trust mass transit
-folks moved out the cities and now need rides
-and the computer chip and factory shut downs/slow downs.

Have insurance settlement prices also risen in conjunction with used/ prices? Just curious.

i don't believe so because a lot of the books haven't caught up, as a result dealers are having to really work the banks for approvals. BUT if you can show other cars listed online, and what they're going for you can always negotiate. that's how i got more for the fj when i put her to sleep

They are supposed to value at comparable pricing for replacement cost, not "book value."

correct, but they also try to save as much money as possible. so always look up comps when settling

I would try to help but I definitely could not do it before friday.
Do you think that they would be able to to the alignment if they do move a little?

x2, did the same with the Super Duty and got a few grand more out of the insurance company than their initial offer.

This week I’m going to go under with a hose and brush and really clean everything up. After that with the skids off I’m going to take a few pictures and put it up on Facebook for 37. Honestly if someone pays 37 I’ll let it go. Don’t know what I’d do - maybe just pick up a DCSB SR. Has all the same gadgets and zero miles. Or just grab a cheap shit box for a few years.

I keep talking to the wife about getting out of the 4Runner and possibly walk away with a few grand, but we keep getting stuck with the replacement and how much it may cost. Think it would be a extra money would be wash after replacing it.
