My truck has a case of the 'anything you can do I can do better's....one thing has a problem then another decides it can do better

they came out and located utilities all over the neighborhood. looks like they're finally installing fiber. Too bad it's like 3 years too late

We've had fiber since we moved to this town in 2017, I dunno if we just don't have the right plan or the right modem but it doesn't really seem much faster than the cable I've used before. Internet speed test is good but not "fiber good". I don't do any gaming or anything that needs high speed so it doesn't concern me much, but does make me curious.

I will say the nice thing about fiber has been that it's consistent. With cable we were always having outages and throttling and shit.

yeah it really depends on the provider. When I lived in denver we had centurylink fiber but it was 100/100

The company rolling out in my hood is advertising 1000/1000 for $89/mo... I pay $120/mo for 175/5 from comcast which is generally fine but more is better, right?

What was the reason for moving again, just for fun or are you actually going back to physical work and want to avoid the fuel expense.

I want to move somewhere that's a better lifestyle fit for me. The denver metro area isn't really it. For the same or lower COL I can be closer to hiking/biking/4wheeling trails, have more space, and live in a more laid back community

They're talking about sending us back to work but I don't plan on going back, even if it means changing jobs later. At this point I have some personal stuff to sort out that will determine when/if I move

I spend all week killing my weeknights so I can make it to the weekend. Then I spend a couple hours driving each way to go do outdoors shit

I kind of don't wanna do that anymore and wanna be able to make it out and enjoy weeknights as well

in my experience, what shows in stock on that location's website is true to what they have. But if you call, they can tell you when they'll be getting more. I'm not sure if they can take inventory from other stores or not.

I believe it. The closest I am to that is 45~ min without traffic but on a week night it's probably at least an hour which really kills the motivation to do anything.

My buddy has a hiking/mtb trail literally 2 blocks up the road from his front door. Where my mom lives there is hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, crawling all 15~ min from her front door

Yeah, when i was in west tx the nearest mtb trail was 40 mi each way, I made it out there once a week at best. Distance is a huge factor, especially during the week, but even on weekends too.

I've thought about trying to move to Denver more than once, but the more I learn about it, it seems like I'd be pretty miserable there unless I shopped very carefully for a place. And made waaay more money.
