    Nice! Pics of the Wildwood kit, or it didn't happen. :D You have the Pro, so you were already good on the booster. :thumbsup: What fluid did you go with?

    I figured you meant grinding on the welds for the coil tower gussets when you said "grinding" :rofl:

    For the Powerbrake kit, these pads are something like 23% larger than stock, plus the directional fins in the rotors actually cool the rotors as they spin. The company makes Dakar winning liquid cooled calipers, so I'd like to think I'm paying for the racing tech. :rofl:

    Their system looks beeeeffffffff. How much do each one of those calipers weigh? Their kit looks awesome.

    I have the same truck as you, albeit mine's a short bed so I'm definitely excited to see how it works out on your truck.

    I'm pretty sure that's a negative, Ghostrider. I've seen this question asked on FB to no avail. :notsure: You can try the template on the OEM Sport 17" wheels. :cookiemonster:

    From the rep:
    our brake kits fit under most 17 wheels incl the OE which are often the most difficult.

    It is regarded as the best vehicle design program in the nation and the student built vehicles compete internationally, but it isn't an accredited engineering degree.

    Fun story, the Doctor I studied under was a huge RX-7 rotary fan. The rotor tip seals in Mazda's rotary were problematic and prone to failure in high RPM racing, so he redesigned them and made new ones in house. He was then able to achieve higher RPMs and more power than Mazda's own rotary engineers to the point Mazda sent engineers to the school to figure out how he made the engine better than they could. Turns out a perk of having that job is when you blow up your rotary engine racing, the next class lab day turns into a lesson on engine rebuild with free student labor.

    Damn, I really wouldn't know which kit to get now! Stoptech, Powerbrake and Wilwood all seem to make a legit BBK for our trucks

    If the 350mm PowerBrake fits a 17" wheel (preferably stock ones) I'd think that is likely the best route. Largest rotor and directional cooling veins. One other thing to consider though, is when buying a BBK you are tied into that brand eco-system of pads and rotors. Not all pads are equal, and be sure to look at pad and replacement rotor prices if you consider ongoing maintenance cost a factor in the decision.

    One of the primary reasons I went with the TRD Pro 4Runner Big brake upgrade instead of aftermarket, may not be quite as good (still like 90 I imagine) but if I can still get brakes for a 30 year old Toyota today and I shouldn't ever have any problem getting brakes for my Toyota in the next 30 years.

    Just did the upgrade to stop tech rotors and the TRD pads. New fluid and the brakes are so much better. Was a great mod. 11 year old Tacoma with 62k and stopping power is night and day. Hardest part was trying to find the rotors online and instock. Most still showing 1-2 week shipping.

    Seems unlikely you'd have a warped rotor unless you did some extreme downhill brake cooking. At that milage improper/incomplete pad break-in seams more likely, which will cause pad transfer to the rotor and result in the pulsing sensation that seems like a warped rotor.
