Beautiful truck.... and good job on the profit that is very rare in the auto market.

I know to many people with GM vehicles, generally nothing but overpriced problems. I could name a few but no need for another huge wall of text we all know how problems go. I am sure there are good and bad to every auto maker. Congrats on the purchase and hope all goes well.

But seriously dont compair the Silverado to the Tacoma, thats apples and orages two different beasts. Gas milage is not bad either I traded a Mazdaspeed 6 for my Tacoma and the Tacoma is better on gas not a lot but still better, and plus i dont have to use 92. Wanna complain about gas drive a Turbo F250 diesel or Titan.

Would you go with quartz or granite? I think there is more upkeep to granite.

FYI, if those are the 20" factory rims, its a high theft item. Don't know where in Texas you live, but just be aware.

Looks good. Had I needed the capability of a fullsize a Silverado would have been near the top of my list they're usually offering some pretty awesome deals too I know I could have gotten a nicely loaded 4x4 extended cab for around what I paid for the Taco.

You have to seal granite..however its pretty easy just spray it on and wipe it off.

Engineered quartz is typically more expensive than granite on average.

I do like engineered quartz though :D

Oh wait...Someone bought a GM? Why?! My neighbor has an '05 silverado that I used to borrow before I had my tacoma when I needed to haul stuff. That thing is a pile of garbage.

Nice upgrade!! I love the Silverado. If I needed a bigger truck, I would seriously consider one of those or the Ford.

    Cheers.

Some granite countertops have shown high levels of radioactivity.....oh wait wrong subject.
My dad just traded low mileage silver for taco and likes both. He misses the road manners of the chevy, but likes being able to open the doors when garaged.

Don't listen to the haters haha. Looks like a nice truck, IMO, Ford, GM, and Toyota trucks all seem like pretty solid vehicles, each has their pros and cons. I don't know about Dodge because all I hear is negative.

I had a 2500HD 4x4 that I really liked. Three years after I bought it, I got rid of it and bought...gasp...a car.

I loved the way it drove and it hauled way more than the Taco ever will. Of course with the giant v8, it sucked gas like a hooker on a roll.

I'd consider that Ford. It's pretty nice looking.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
:rolleyes:Hey listen to Mike row, sounds like the projected resale on the ford fusion has pass the camery. He would never lie would he?
But I have to say I think the taco is still holding its value pretty well.

I haven't looked but I'm sure the Taco's resale will be better a few years down the line.

Also kiss your Chevy logo goodbye. But good luck with your silverado. I still have my 04....but with a rebuilt transmission.

huge chevy fan here... although they dont make them like they used to. I have 2 1989 suburbans and an 88 K5 back in ny...they are tanks!!! I had an 05 avalanche and 05 2500hd. the avy was a money pit but the 2500hd was a beast. not impressed with the new ones...

Nobody makes a good 1/2ton anymore. Not a fan of the fords, the chevy's reliability isnt what it was 10 years ago, forget dodge. Tundras are funny to watch "shimmy" down the road. no full size should have that much frame flex.

Commercial grade 3/4T is the best choice for a full size. they are over built for a reason and tend to be way more reliable...

Ill stick with my old chevy trucks for full size durability.

Had a Chebby Quad Cab Silverado as a rental between Tacos. Couldn't wait to get out of that damn thing. Felt like I was driving a waterbed.
