Speaking from my own experience so far, The ETA is pretty accurate if your truck has been built. For me, I got an ETA of 4/27-5/1 when the truck was in transit from Texas to Ontario Canada. The truck has arrived at Toyota Canada Corporate and the eta is now a tighter time frame of 4/28-4/30.
With that said, I think it really depends on what stage your truck is at right now, because if it's yet to have been assembled, the ETA could be pushed back due to delays. But if it's been assembled, it's probably an accurate ETA.

I hope that mine is accurate like yours. I’m moving from bc to Manitoba in the end of July so I can’t really have any delays lol

Ugh! I want a DCLB OR w/ premium tech and the local dealer just got a DCLB Sport w/ premium tech in the same color as my '17 (wouldn't have to repaint my cap). Just don't like that hood. Emailed the dealer all the same, may go chat with them too. They gave my wife 3k over kbb trade-in on her Rav a couple months ago. If they offered me that kind of deal I'd likely leave in a new truck.

Haha welp, it sold either last night or first thing this morning. Internet sales manager emailed me & I simply said this is what I'm looking for. If you have an allocation for it or can swap for one, I'm interested in coming in to talk.

I don't off road so from that standpoint Sport or OR makes no difference for me. That said, I do not like the dummy scoop on the sports.

(As I'm typing this, he is calling. Haha heeeeeere we go! Smart man, got my # from the service department.)

Pretty sure its easy to find people that would swap a stock hood for your sport hood (and even throw you some cash on top of it), if you really dont want the hood...

I'm sure this has been covered but......... my trucks build date has been moved up to the 10th of May. Was curious about how you track your truck after it's been built and you have a "real vin"?

That does seem odd, I had a build date a couple weeks ago... that date has moved to sooner 3 times now after each weekly check in... have you fired an email off to them inquiring about it?

yeap, spoke to the sales manager about 4 days ago he says he has nothing yet and to contact him the middle of May to check on it. Wish there was a way for the customer to check on this without relying on the dealer

That sucks!... I'm in northern Idaho, pretty big taco market here in the northwest, don't know if that makes a difference.

TRD Pro Tacoma in MGM. Has a build date of 5/21. Rep says it should be delivered roughly 45 days after that. I hope she's right!

Just from reading about issues from other dealer orders in this thread, I’d be sure to get the temp vin so you can make sure the truck is what you expect. Nothing worse than finding out 2 months into the process that there are deal breaking differences. I was immediately given the temp vin (which you can plug in - google “Toyota vin”) and build date.

Yea, made sure I got my temp VIN. I actually just checked and everything looks good. Now the waiting game.

I am assuming the temp vin is provided by the dealer?
