I’ll have my set of old 35 Falken wildpeak MT’s up for grabs(a six pack) two are low on inner tread due to a wheel bearing failure. The other two are around 7-9/32nds. I figure Someone may want them to see if they clear

I’ll take those hi lift mounts. If you want to fool with mailing them to me I’ll pay for it. If not, we can work out a meet. I’m down in Kent. PM me if you still have them.

I’ve owned AC, DCSB, and DCLB. For my uses, DCLB works best. I don’t have kids or dogs, and I think I’ve only ever had someone in the back seat once. But I need that space for dry storage that I can lock. I have the seats out of it, and plan to build some drawers into it as soon as wood comes down a little. Bed gets too dusty and if I spend a full day or an overnight trip scouting for hunting, I need more space than AC gives me. And even though a DCLB is big, I don’t think a full size would fit where I go. My truck would probably win a pin striping award and has a few minor dents, but a full size would be neat to fuck if I had taken it all the places I’ll take the DCLB. But I think the DCSB was my least favorite. The bed seemed full once I put a cooler in it, even though it’s only a foot shorter.

I've never understood the 5 foot bed. It's too short to fit much of anything, can't even fit a pair of skis back there. I understand needing additional seating for kids and stuff but at that point I'd rather just get a 4Runner with a roof rack.

Still looking for a decent aluminum swingout bumper myself, and a decent aluminum front.

There are a few good options but most of them are DIY kits and I've got zero metalworking skill. Love the aggressive look of aftermarket bumpers, don't love the weight of steel making the truck a pig.

Funny, the full size pickup truck owners say the same thing about you Tacoma LB boys.

It's almost like "different strokes for different folks" applies here.

While a 5ft bed might not suit your needs, I can tell you very assuredly that it does suit many other's needs.

I can fit my skis and snowboards in the back of a 5' foot bed without any issue. Sure it can't fit a full sheet of plywood, etc. but neither did the 6' bed I had. Either way stuff was always hanging out the back, just gotta pick what makes you happy.

You skiing on baby skis? My 185 daily drivers and 195 powder skis barely fit in my 6' bed.

My ideal future truck build will be a DCLB with bobbed bed

I'm pretty sure my skis fit if I put them in at an angle. I'm only 5'-7", so my skis are equally short. However, I typically run bed bars over my tonneau with a ski rack, so it's a moot point for me.

I have been eye fucking the RSI flatbed for so long... do that with the optional folding sides and canopy and then I can dump my rear HC w/ swing out and canopy and do whatever with the bedsides. Would be nice. Also, +1 for DCSB.

Exactly my point. I see TONS of trucks setup like this on the way to the ski hill Every weekend with 1 or 2 people in it. Seems silly to me to have to mount a rack on a pickup bed and then drive around with an empty box under it opposed to just using the bed.

    But to each their own...

More bed space in a bobbed 6ft bed than a bobbed 5ft (maybe even standard 5ft bed) with pretty much the same departure angle
