but shitty-er breakover, as @WrecklessAbandon said. Our breakover is way worse than our departure.

Just saw their bed replacement system last night. The fact you can remove the canopy and have a flatbed is awesome. If I were a richer man and had an excuse, I'd buy that in an instant.

Anyone that knows me, knows my box is NEVER empty.

But rarely do I carry shit in the bed of my truck. Regardless, I prefer my skis and poles in a ski rack. Keeps them from banging around in the bed. I'd still run a rack with a 6' bed. Plus I don't have to dig them out of the bed when I get to the slopes.

185s fit in the 5'. I doubt the powder skis would, but I only find cascade concrete around here anymore :)

I pulled the seats and am running a molle panel across the back wall. Not quite as much gained space, but enough to stock a fridge or tool bags

How do you like the rci rear bumper? Talking to the guy in Bellingham and may consider it, really wanting a swing out so not sure if I should hold out or impulse buy. Also how was installation?

Not sure if you ever have the need to drive with the tailgate down, but if you do the swingout would be an issue.....also, every time you needed to drop your tailgate you would have to swing the tire out. I get why some guys have/need it, like if they're running 35s+, but for those who aren't it seems to be more trouble than it's worth IMO

oh yeah, and they're super heavy

One reason I'm 50/50 on the swing out, Use my bed mainly for my dirtbike, either rci or high clearance rear is what I'm leaning towards.

I'm in the same boat as you....but I probably won't consider a swingout (and don't have to put a dirtbike in the bed)

You could always buy that bumper now, while it available and here in real life and not backordered until the end of time....and sell it for a minimal loss if you decide to go with a swingout

I’m going to fab up something that’s easy enough to take out when it isn’t needed but will have room for the shit I always have in there - air compressor, small tool set, fire extinguisher, etc., and can protect my optics when I’m out scouting.

When I get to where I want a dedicated fun toy, I’d love to have a SAS’d reg cab with a bobbed bed. But it’d make more sense to do a flat bed.

aren’t those the ones that WEW showed them cracking?

ETA: shot him a message. He said most cab relocations crack around the weld seam. I’ll be gusseting the fuck out of mine after seeing the pictures
