Something to note: The RAV4 knobs are slightly larger in diameter than the stock knobs. They overlap the edge of the radio by a few mm. Also, a little build quirk has my radio set just a hair inside the plastic housing, so the knob touches against the housing when I push it. Extremely minor and does not affect performance in any way, but just posting for awareness. Everybody's truck is built slightly different, so this may not even be an 'issue' for many.

On my way to order grill parts tomorrow and will pick up a set of these.

As was stated earlier, this was a huge complaint after I bought my Tacoma and never should’ve been installed in the first place. :-(

You can actually adjust the volume while driving after this.

    I can’t hardly wait. :)

For me, it’s easier to reach for the radio than adjust from the steering wheel.

Off to get a screen shot of your part number.

This will make it so much easier to turn the volume down when I need to see better.

Got mine on. Like them a lot !!!

Just a tiny slight issue on mine and I think another poster alluded to it.

My radio is set back into the dash just a bit, preventing the volume knob to push in completely for on/off. I think if I could adjust the radio out just a bit, this mod would be perfect. It pushes to molding trim when turning radio on/off but, not when adjusting volume.

This minor thing would not prevent me from doing this again and very happy with the mod.

    Thank you OP.

Yeah, i have the same. I figure i could add a washer or so to the head unit mounting bolt to spsce it out. Just doesn't bother me enough to mess with it now.

I am picking mine up today. Could you sand the underside of the knob on the volume side to accommodate this. If it’s a few mm probably wouldn’t even see the difference but might keep it from wearing the bezel.

    Possibly.
Honestly, I have not yet seen any wear on the bezel in not quite a year's use. I was just looking at it the other day while installing my DMM. But it's not like I'm constantly turning the volume and pressing down hard while doing so.

Just installed mine, literally 5 seconds to remove the originals, 5 seconds to pull the plastic part out of the RAV4 knob, 5 seconds to install each. Less than 30 seconds and done!

I see what your saying. In normal operating position mine clears very well. When you push it down to turn it on or off it touches. Doubt that will be an issue ever.

great upgrade, matches the other controls better than the stock knobs.

You're right the knobs are way too small with little texture, Toyota costs saving feature no doubt. I just might do this too.

Just installed mine. Super easy, works perfectly and it is a welcome change. The RAV4 knobs look like they are supposed to be in a Tacoma. The dealer questioned my order for these knobs since I had a Tacoma but once I explained what I was doing they were fine.

Thanks for the great idea OP!

    Thanks to OP!

Good thing I checked TW because I was really hating on those Tacoma knobs.

$29.54 after discount and sales tax is ridiculous though.
