Rs3200 security module

How hard is it to install a rs3200 module on a 2002 Tacoma, just purchased for my grandson & bought 2 key fobs before I found out it doesn’t have the module behind kick plate!?

 

This should get you going in the right direction... The module would be behind the driver side kick plate. The FOBs you purchased may work with the anti-theft/basic security, I honestly don't know. If you do not have the RS3200 module, you'll have to find it. Can't help you there either. eBay/Amazon perhaps?

I checked behind kick plate, not there so looking on eBay for one. Do they just plug in? I can’t view attachments you sent for some stupid reason!

Whether on your phone or a laptop/desktop - you'll need a PDF reader to view. Should be opening either way on the phone, be it android or iPhone.

@Empty_Lord might be able to come up with a solid part# or confirm whether they are still available or not from the dealer. I see RS3200 kits available for the tundra and other models, not sure of they are the same though.

 

Thanks again, guess I had them downloaded all the time still trying to figure this new iPad. Hopefully I can locate a new unit somewhere & go from there! My grandson is chomping on the bit to have this beauty as his own.

 

As far as I know, the 2002 is prewired for it and you can just plug in the unit.

My 2003 came with the "keyless entry" (RS3200) unit and I was able to do the "free" upgrade to the full security system features.
This keyless entry came with the
- Limited Package
- Convenience Package
- Power Package

Nope. The only way to make a system work would be finding one from a Toyota of similar vintage and custom wiring

 

Well, guess I’ll keep the search going, would one from a wrecked 1st gen work?

 

2002 is what you need it from. I’ve been hunting for my 01 for years. They’re out there, but it may take a while

 

I’m checking local junkyards, hope I can find one!
