I always liked OME and want to try the Bp51s but don’t know anyone with them and if the cost is justifiable

I think @kceastsparks had them on his old truck. Could be wrong about that though.

I did and then sold them. About 16 months after purchase the new owner of them contacted me about order numbers cause two shocks began leaking. ARB warrantied them but definitely a bummer to hear the started leaking so soon.

Well shucks ... sounds like they all have their issues ... seems like most manufacturers seem to back all their products pretty well nowadays too. Its not the worst thing in the world to get replacements for leaks every year and a half

Can’t decide which route to go on my suspension... all I know is my SAW coil overs are toast . Pretty sure no oil left in them and one of the coils has broken from being so rusty haha . Still running recalled leafs with an AAL . Anyone want to give me their 2cents? Truck is driven to and from work daily but I use a company truck . Basically hunting and off-road truck. Use the rav4 to go any real distances .

Just wondering if anyone here host get-togethers for trail rides around the Reno/Carson/Tahoe area?

@Breck1, I've been happy with my suspension setup...Fox ext 2.5 with SPC UCA up front and Fox rr 2.0 with dakars on the rear. I've been running them 5 or so years now at the time I was considering Icon and Kings too.

Icons were having some issues with top hats breaking (maybe due to the bump stops/vehicle build and not the shock) and leaking where the line to the rr threaded into the shock body. I was also not sold on running a digressive shock.

A GB popped up on the Fox shocks and that's how I ended up with them over the kings.

Yeah I’ve got the same feeling about digressive shock... my trucks a 4 banger with big tires haha speed isn’t really my thing ... however the fox setups seem to be out of stock on most sites... and I haven’t ruled out the bp51s but I see quite a few issues there too... it’s a crap shoot

There have not been that many recently it seems. I am interested in any that come up though.

Have been planning on heading up north of Gerlach to the OR border one of these days.

Did that trip a few years ago. Love far northwest NV. A lot of stuff to do and see and not a lot of people.

I’m down for a group run if anyone puts one together. I’m always going out with the Jeeps. It’d be fun to hang out with some Tacoma guys.

I’ve never been to Gerlach. What type of trails are there?

I might be up for a run as well. Have some family in town right now so it might be tricky. Watching what comes of this with interest regardless.

Little bit of everything. High speed gravel, two track, rocky 4x4 trails, playa. No real named 4x4 trails but more than enough to explore for a lifetime.

A couple of us went out early March out Dixie valley area east of Fallon, had a pretty good time.
Theres a really cool mountain range about an hour east of Fallon. Tons of stuff to to and great places to camp. I can put a trip together out there if anyone is interested. Snow usually isn't all gone until at least mid May. This was last June. IMG_17601.jpg
This is the best camp spot up there.

That looks awesome. I'm down to head out that way for a camp/explore/hangout trip in June

Definitely. That’ll be fun. I have a side by side as well I can bring along. If you line up a run in June, let me know.

Let's set a date! Im available June 5/6, 12/13 or 26/27. My preference would be the middle but it really doesn't matter.
