Ordered side steps for the new Tacoma the end of March and they came today. Didn't want them sitting around so I got too it and installed them. I sure am getting old, a 1 hour job when I was younger took me 3 1/2 hourso_O. But they are on.

One of my dad's hunting buddies worked in a glass shop, replacing glass in cars. Someone brought a Model T in for work. The old hands told my dad's hunting buddy (he was new at the job) to move it, figuring they would get a few laughs. He fooled them, he knew how.

Just curiosity, can you handle a Model T?

    Not sure...

Is the accelerator controlled by a lever on the steering wheel (also the choke?) and you engage the transmission with a lever on the left? I think it had a button to push on top?

I've never driven one, but I think the transmission was operated by foot pedals.

Boy I don’t know but I’ll tell you what I’d try! My uncle has a model T hack that once belonged to the governor that has passed through the family, he takes it to shows from time to time. Never offered to let me drive it though!

    Evening all:
That trailer would really look good with a matching set of TRD wheels on it Mark, just a thought!!! :D

:facepalm:I better leave the checkbook at home, and only put $20 in my wallet! There is a big gun auction coming up in Canton Pa, my fishing buddy Jim called me and asked if I wanted to go along with him. Lots of 600 and 660 Remington's plus some other interesting guns, he's interested in a 600 in .35 Remington which is the second rarest caliber that they produced. I HAVE A FEELING that everything there is going to go for top dollar, plus, plus, plus, judging by what everyone all over the country is saying about gun prices. I told him I will keep holding his arm up with his auctioneer number on it just in case he chokes if he really wants it, after all, what are friends for!
When we went to the last auction with these 600 and 660's, that weren't even that nice, they were going for top dollar, and that was before all that is going on now.
If nothing else, should make for a nice ride.

Welcome to the porch!! Jump right in - we always appreciate new views on things and the fresh perspective of a new Tacoma owner is great to hear.

Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday....whatever that means to the retired crowd. We're supposed to hit the 80s today - I'll be cutting grass this morning before it gets hot I think. I also hae the license plate light shut off in reverse harness that I finally need to install. Think I'll do that today, too.

We picked up the dogs yesterday morning after our trip. They were all over us all day - both of them slept either on or next to me all night...which meant I didn't sleep as much as they did. 160 lbs of Lab distributed over your body somehow wakes you up.

    Be safe out there!!

And also if it was color matched Army Green to your Tacoma :D Mark.

It's amazing how the price of firearms has gone up as well as the price on ammo if you can get it Carl. I went to an indoor range to get some trigger time in and bought a box of 50 FMJ 124 gr. and it was 39.95. Thankfully I was able to clean up the brass for my scrooge (sitting on most of his reloads and not sharing) son. Back in the early 70's I bought my Remington 700 for $235.00 and I thought that was expensive. It's worth more than that now used. Hope you have a good time at the auction Carl. :spending:
