    I feel that. I'm running 4.25in durobumps in the rear and hit those before I bottom out the shock. I put those in there beforehand to help prevent the leafs from going too negative. Check my build thread for more pics and measurements

    CBI sliders, ADS extend travel with compression adjuster coil overs, 9” Bilstein 5125 rear shocks, Icon Tubular UCA, Alcan custom leafs, All Pro Apex bumper and skids, NWTI rear diy bumper, 295/70/17 Cooper St Maxxs and nitro 4.88s.
    Okay, I moved the 2 gauge wire from the fuse block to the battery. I need to grab some more 2 gauge end connectors and I’ll add one more ground from the negative terminal to the bolt at the alternator. And that’s what I’ll call complete of the “big 3” upgrade.
    Final look:
    • 2 gauge from alternator to positive battery terminal
    • 2 gauge from factory ground location on the block to negative terminal
    • 2 gauge from chassis(fender) to negative terminal
    • 2 gauge ground strap from back of block to firewall
    • (Pending) 2 gauge from negative terminal to block (alternator bolt)

    How much do the duro bumps collapse? Might be close to bottoming. Or is that 1/2” at fully collapsed bumps.

    That was with basically only two tires on the ground and it was squished pretty good so I'm not too concerned about it bottoming out before the bumpstop. If it does, there is a rubber shaft bump on the shock to help with that last little bit. It is close though. Just over a 1/2" left if the rubber shock shaft bump wasn't there

    There will be more travel used vertically (like a hard bottom out) vs flexed. You'll probably be fine, but at the very least you could measure shock shaft showing at ride height vs. the distance between your frame and roughly how far down your bump you think it will compress.

    Yes you are right. I already took those measurements and they are within 1/2" of eachother on the driver side so I should be good there.
    Worst case I add a small spacer to the strike pad or under the bump to increase it's height.

    I thought when the BamaToy guy sold them it was the “Big 3” because:

    1. Upgrade wiring
    2. Upgrade alternator
    3. Add a second battery

    ...I could be wrong but I thought that was the 3 when I looked into it.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

    No the Big Three has loooong proceeded that guy and in fact was more of a car audio thing to upgrade power for big stereo setups.

    It's really just upping the wire gauge for the alt to the batter and then the grounds from battery to body and engine. Thats a typical Big three upgrade.

    It originated from getting a good ground on big amplifiers and keeping them powered at high power. A well running big system needs 14.7V to keep up with the big boom.

    I think it bolts to the top of the head. That's how the 3RZ is anyhow.

    It would look better with some shiny Thorley headers

    The block to firewall ground is easy to get to, I replaced mind a year or two ago because it was cooked. Didn't have any trouble reaching it
