I'm definitely not trying to speak for @81Trekker but based on what I have seen over there the past month, they are super busy. I doubt that they are interested in a group buy and I think the group buy idea was mentioned in regard to the inner fenders so I just wanted to make sure everyone understands that those are still heavily in development. As you have seen from Harry's pics they just got the very first beta set onto the caged truck and they are making a lot of adjustments & improvements to them. Harry also recently mentioned that they are also adding an integrated UMP filter mount to the passenger side inner fender. They are also pulling measurements off of my truck which has a booster and the caged truck which has the full electric braking system to ensure that the inners will fit all of the braking systems. I think there are actually 3 different braking systems ? So, morale of the story is that the inner fenders are not even ready for production yet...be patient kids good things come to those who wait.

edit - oh and I forgot they are beefing up the battery tray even more and they are putting a lot of thought into making a product that works for a guy with stock fenders that wants to keep a clean engine bay...and the guys running glass with 15" of travel & 35's.

The only product I’m really interested in doing a group buy for will be the inner fenders because the majority of the time is spent setting up the press brake as they have numerous complicated bends. Once it’s all set up the time difference between making 10 sets and 100 sets is minimal. Other products like spindle gussets, upper arm gussets and steering double shear kits are also things I’m willing to do if that’s what you guys want. The rest of the products are very labor intensive and are already very competitively priced.

On top of that I have full truck builds scheduled into 2022 with a ton of smaller builds in between. I’m super grateful for all the support from you guys and do my best to make things affordable right out of the gate. Like I said before the majority of the products are very labor intensive because we are more concerned with designing and building unique products than pumping out mass produced, generic parts for profit. We do this stuff because we love innovating and pushing the boundaries of a Tacoma while still making everything user friendly and affordable.

At the end of the day what’s most important to us is having fun and getting to interact with customers that have the same approach. We have made it 20+ yrs in business with this approach and will continue to follow that path.

Thank you guys again for your patience and understanding that nothing leaves our shop without us being 100% satisfied with the product. I look at everything that leaves the shop with the same mentality... “would I be stoked if this showed up at my door step”. Needless to say we have extremely high expectations and in order to meet those expectations things take time.

PS. @Airdog you’re a dick, @desertjunkie760 you can’t drive, @Evenflow youre truck is pretty and @kasnerd id cruz the mall parking lot with you any day

    :)

Keep it for forensic evidence and tax fraud?

Keep up the good work and next year I’ll get my ps pump kit...maybe? You can tell me I told you so when I’m done spending more than planned with this silly tundra axle swap.

Harry, scale back being so connected and up front with customers. This is how you end up with MORE of them!

You might need to rename the trekker to "garage crawler" or "jack stands queen".

They work on their client's projects as if they were their own. That's huge.

Finding the right person/business is difficult enough, but actually getting the work done has three more parts to figure out: THRIFT, QUALITY and SPEED. The rule is you can only pick TWO. Also when doing it the "right" way, it isn't the fastest. Choose carefully.

This thread is why my truck will probably be on Jack stands for another year hahah. I havnt finished my front end and I’m contemplating tearing into the back end again to redo with JD parts while I wait for shocks.

stay out of the shop. if you can't restrain yourself from afar, being in the porn studio isn't a good idea. I have other ideas after the Tacoma. :bananadead:

Every time I wander through it's like "oh that's cool" and "well isnt that clever" Gonna be in so much trouble if we go fullsize.
