    Last time we were "out" Indecided I'd had about enough of the puney speaker on the base unit of the HAM. (under the seat)

    So I ordered an external.

    nah super easy. its right by the heater core valve sort of. Bit more passenger side than it but pretty easy to get to.

    Unfortunately, they don't stay shiny. The heat cycles turn them a dull grey.

    it's just a potentiometer so be easy to drill a hole and put it somewhere else.

    But since you got a front e locker, Id get a new switch that matches the front switch and put it where the clock is using this:

    The 1st Gen: All pro 3” lift (650 lbs coils, expedition rears with bilstiens),Timbren rear bumpstops, ubolt flip, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 33’s on beadlocks ,ARB Bumper, winch, hand throttle, ARE canopy, roof bars, poly bushings all around minus the body mounts. The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s

    There was a little bit of trimming to do behind the dash to get those switches to fit, and my locker switch doesn’t fit perfect.


    The paranoid fab clock bracket is another good one. I plan to put my winch controls there

    Maybe I'll knock that out at some point for peace of mind. Though I am always charging at 14.2-3 so I guess the system is doing alright.

    I mounted my external CB speaker here and I really like it. Right now it's too close to my head though and I plan on moving it to be above the rear seat belt more towards the back since it's plenty loud even with the volume on low. It's nice being able to have convos with the windows down doing 80 on the highway.

    Here's my compressor and front locker. I've actually flipped them around now - top is blue for compressor, bottom is red for locker. Red only works when blue is on.

    Pros:
    * clean
    * easy (round holes)
    * 2 switches in the space of 1

    Cons:
    * no labels

    Not really a disadvantage. If you can't get over the obstacle with just the rear then you need both anyways. That will keep the stress low for all wheels.

    I can, typically in snow. Lets you pull with the front while leaving the rear unlocked to slip accordingly so you don't potentially slip side ways on an off camber road. But that's about the only scenario for an IFS vehicle with a front locker.
