How do these compare to what Desert Does It?

 

Not sure what he has or makes, first I have heard of them I think. I have been doing them for a few years now, and if you total just the ones that left feed back on mine in the 2nd and 3rd gen for sale ad and the swap, buy sell ad there is approx 1,000 feed backs of satisfied folks. I am an ole fart just making something to stay busy and don't expect to get rich. A good solid part for the small profit margin. Not sure anything can be better, might be just as good, and maybe less money. So I can't judge or comment on something I don't know anything about. Your's are actually cheaper and look fairly nice. But I was just curious if these were similar to what they sell only because I'd like to get some, but they charge a good bit more.

So what do you do if youre 5'11'' and mostly torso but your legs feel unsupported. It feels like my hamstrings are just hanging off the seat the whole drive.

Ordered a set years ago after my first road trip and a sore back, and been happy ever since. My wife found out, so of course I had to get another set for the passenger seat.

I recommend for the sake of ease at least loosen the front seat bolts. I had one being stubborn and lifted the whole front off the mounts, then put the front bolts back in after I got the rears threaded. Shipping was as quick as I remember, and they really do make a difference.

You pretty much described me. 5’11”, 240 lbs, mostly torso.

By comparison, when my wife and I swap driving in her Grand Cherokee, I have to lower my seat to keep my head off the ceiling and scoot the seat forward so I can comfortably reach the pedals. She’s 5’7” and a lot more leg than torso.

 

So using these rear spacers helped with your leg support ?

 

My issue wasn’t leg support, mine was crippling lower back pain on long drives.

 

Just jumping into this convo... Do you also make front spacers? I hear a combination of front and rear can do wonders...

I feel like I am always having to adjust my ass in the seat to get comfy... bad back and sciatic pain when driving....

5'10" height...

Maybe just try a set in the rear first, see how it goes, then maybe front...
