Oddly enough when you said this ...I started looking for recent pics of him (at night) this was 2,3,4 years ago (not sure) at a halloween party...my son is in the wolf /dog (not sure) mask but my 2 girls also show the white eyes...my wife shows the red eyes (I think...my eyes ARE actually bad)..(in the joker costume - older one - not sure what she was). I appreciate the heads up..if he has something - they probably all do.IMG_2378.jpg

Hey - I appreciate it!!! I sent it to my friend...they all get full , very detailed checkups twice a year , as we have done martial arts for many, many years, and my son has had several concussions (kicks to the head) so they check a lot of things not normally checked.

After your post I started Googling also, and never even realized that could show something. I'm actually going through my kids photos now looking for white eyes!!

I tell my wife all the time to stop self-diagnosing through Google. Damn websites out there will make you think an itch on your knee is full blown cancer! I hope it turns out it was just a random reflection for the little guy.

My wife is not allowed online anymore when she is feeling sick for that very reason.

Oh yeah. Because being in all that open space is just a breeding ground for Corona. NJ. My former home state. Gotta love it. Great pic!!

And THAT, my friend, is why I go to the National Forests. Even when Michigan's crazy governor was in the heat of lockdown last year, my buddies and had great camping up there in Manistee National Forest.

Been on my list for years. Did you go through Hurrah Pass/Chickens Corners/Lockhardt Basin or the other way around from 114?

The spot I like up north is in the Manistee National Forest and it is about 3:15 away. About the same distance to the south of me is the Hoosier National Forest. I am going to give them a try this year...and I hear there is some great mountain biking nearby, too.

    HOA = Home Owners Association...

But in reality ( in my mind ) it is a way for a corporation ( the HOA ) to tell you what you can and can't do in or out of your own home.
You have to have 'permission' to paint your house ( if THEY approve of the color )
You have to have 'permission' to landscape your yard ( if THEY approve )
You can only have so many cars parked in your driveway ( if THEY allow it at all )...
You get fined if your grass is 1 inch too high, or if you wash your car in the driveway, or if the garage door is open more than 30 seconds,
or whatever rules they put into their HOA Rules.

Then they have Nazi-Like people who 'patrol' the neighborhood and write 'tickets' to people who are out of compliance.

And THEN, if you don't pay your FINE, the HOA can TAKE YOUR FKING HOUSE away from you.

Some HOA's limit the number of homes that can be sold in a year - so if you want to SELL your house ( their house really )
then THEY have to give the O.K.

I live in Arizona, which has a very high number of HOA's here, but my 'hood isn't in an HOA and it was a condition of the
house we bought... trust me, when houses go up for sale around me they are gone in a week because we DON'T live in
an HOA... I'd be doing life in prison by now if I lived in one...

I washed my new Truck tonight out in front of the house.... if I lived in an HOA I could have been fined for it.

Anyway - bottom line is... if you buy a house in a HOA - be aware of what you are getting into....
Me?... no way in hell... I ain't built for prison life LOL

Yeah - Before I made the decision to live out in the country (I've bought a few farms over the years)- I owned homes in Miami and Ft Lauderdale Fl (mid to late 80s) and other major cities....I'm familiar with HOAs as they were common in some areas we've owned homes (though I never bought one associated with an HOA)- to be honest I had LONG forgotten the term.

I own a horse farm now- bought this one to retire on. There is a small number of us that own homes/farms in our one entrance 'subdivision"...we put in restrictions that prevents smaller homes from being built and a few other things but no HOAs or anything like that. Not only can I wash my trucks/cars, paint, landscape to my liking, etc...but I can walk out of my house and fire my pistols/rifles in 3 different directions and not hit anything...HAHAHA - I need that freedom as if I lived in a normal place (again) I might get the same urge...so I get the "doing life in prison" comment...HAHAHAHA. We can load up the kayaks and drive straight to our river - and no neighbors to complain about my grass being harmed...IMG_2789.jpg
