Long time since I posted here. I want to say "hello" and get some clarification on my TRD Pro, 6 Speed manual. At the moment, I have around 64K miles on my truck and as of 2019 the truck is officially “retired”, make of it what you will. It is mostly parked inside the garage and I pull it out once every 4 months or so to keep things running. I hardly put 60 miles on it in the last two years. Anyway, last month I took the truck out twice, mostly to burn off old fuel and I was stopped three times(at HD parking lot, hwy 17 and one more time near a dealership) and all of them asking if my truck was “for sale”. Same thing happened in 2019 one time. I’m thinking ”well, I sure did not put any _for sale_” sign and I’m not sure why these people are asking me this. This got me curious and today, googled my way here. It turns out, there were only 1200 TRD Pro Gen2 sold the very first and last year of it's production in 2015 (https://www.motortrend.com/cars/toyota/tacoma/2017/2017-toyota-tacoma-trd-pro-first-look-review/). Now, is there a way to find out how many were built in Orange (Inferno red) and then, 6 speed manual trans combo? I DO NOT see this as a way of asking a ridiculous price but I need to know what happened in the last 2-3 years that people are now drooling over it. My truck will never be offered for sale, it survived the Arctic with me(or I did, because of it ;)) and then half a dozen other long expeditions after that. Any info is much appreciated.

This is for your viewing pleasure. I took some pictures today ;)

Interesting, from the thread above, we have these numbers.
    **************************

Total 2015 Tacoma TRD Pros built: 1,193

    Double Cab 1,118
    Access Cab 75

    Black 377
    Inferno 492
    Super White 324
    **************************

Now, two more questions to find answers
    A) Distribution of color to trans.e.g: How many manual in each color.
    B) VIN number distributions. e.g: The first stick shift in Black, White and Orange.

I wonder if the source that Ryan has can help us here ;)

Nice truck! Can I ask what's hanging from the front of your truck in most your pictures? Looks like a cowbell lol.

Yes Sir. It is indeed a cow bell. I grew up around cows and this is my connection back to my roots. BTW, I call my truck "taco-bell".

How many were AC 6-MT? Fuck the color, those would be the unicorns.

I think total production of manuals will be less than 60 total(TFL trucks state 5% by volume- https://tfltruck.com/2019/05/toyota...-transmissions-it-sells-including-the-tacoma/). That is all three colors combined and both access cab, crew cab. We should list out all the known TRD 2015 on this forum. I'm thinking, few things needed from current owners. Manufactured date (may be delivery date), last 5 digits of the VIN, color, cab configuration, Transmission. I will look up my details when I get a chance.

I contacted Toyota a month ago and they replied with this today:

Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

We appreciate your loyalty and enthusiasm regarding our products, and apologize for our delayed response. We are unable to provide you with the number of Inferno red Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro with the crewcab and six speed manual transmission options were produced in 2015. We truly apologize.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Disappointing. I guarantee that information is available somewhere at Toyota Corporate; whoever responded just isn't willing to do the work necessary
    to retrieve it.

I'm not giving up. I asked for an escalation. Let's see if they reply at all. Next, I will scan through the internet and connect with Toyota corporate.
