What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I paid $250 on Amazon. But, sounds like that might have been a good investment

 

It is obvious that it isn't a "custom" cover but it fits pretty good for me. Lays down and seals pretty nice, I was actually impressed. Now, I hope that it lasts

 

Sounds really stupid.

Mount it through your grille on a little bracket that sticks off the vehicle if you don't want to drill holes in the vehicle. Otherwise just stick it where everyone else does. There are even divets to guide your drill bits into the little plastic piece on the bumper.

 

I need to hunt down a walkthrough on here for doing these. I am sure it is pretty damned easy, but walkthroughs always help with those little things that you seem to not think about that someone else had to deal with lol

This is the brand I used. I installed 3 triple LED pods on each side, blue at the front and back and white in the middle.

Being the nerd that I am... I will end up going with full strips. Now that I think about it, I have some strips, I just need to find a controller that I can safely throw in the bed.

 

I talked talked dealer into updating 19 tacoma 4x4 sport to TSB 0092-20 under factory warranty.I told them it had sluggish acceleration and abnormal downshift at highway speed.They drove it confirmed it and I was out in under 2 hrs.Drives alot smoother and accelerates smooth not with revving rpms.

 

So I have had limited luck with a good phone mount in my taco. Between the ones that have suction cups to the windshield and an arm that is 8 feet long never seems to position right and is always in the way..... To the ones that have spring clips on the vents never stays put and flops around I had enough...

Buying the full phone mount and vent mount from Hondo is ridiculously expensive ($139???) And I don't think wireless charges either

I plan to round the wood to make it match the shape of the circular vent and cover the ugly top ........ eventually

 

Not really today but I did get the KDmax tune couple weeks ago and I must say WOW! Headrest has dents from my head now

I have read about the Kd max tune and has been all good things.where do you get that tune done at

 

These lights are controlled with a switch in the bedside cubby, a switch in the cab and with a Wifi remote. Cause I'm a nerd as well.

 

Now go get the OVTune2 and you will think someone swapped out the engine for the 4.0L. I can't be happier with this mod.

 

I got it done locally here in Hawaii (Oahu) @RedLantern did mines, he is from hawaii. There are a bunch of guys who can do it in different states with the same tune. I'm sure there are some in your area or even a thread about it for your specific state, just have to search for it. I found @RedLantern off facebook then he gave me the link about the tune which led me to this forum. Where are you from?
