Can this be done on 3rd gens? What brand is best. How hard is it to install? Do you recommend doing this.

    yeah https://www.extremeterrain.com/flow...haust-system-black-tips-side-exit-717918.html

    https://www.extremeterrain.com/mbrp-black-series-dual-exhaust-system-side-exit-1619-35l-tacoma.html

installation is very easy, but you will want to have heavy duty mechanics gloves,
lube, grease to spray into the hanger
impact wrench most likely if your truck is old the bolts might have seized

I almost bought the flowmaster one, but then realize it's kinda loud and out of stock. MBRP needs cutting if you have short wheel base

Apparently you loose back pressure thus loosing low end torque with the duals on the Tacoma.

Also I heard this MBRP dual one time in my town and it sounded worse than a riced out civic.

I would recommend trd or Borla. Nice mellow growl without being too obnoxious.

Bought the mbrp on Craigslist one time. Installed it and drove around for 20 minutes thought it sounded like a brubaru. Uninstalled and sold.

MBRP in general are known to be very loud and raspy. Hard pass fo me.

Keep in mind that two holes in the back of one muffler making two tail pipe outlets does not make a real dual exhaust.

It's just a single exhaust with two tail pipes :hattip:

I’m looking at the Flomaster FloFX. Had a video on extreme terrain. Looks like a easy install. Sounded great. I don’t plan on going over any edges. Yes I’m aware it’s still one tailpipe. I think they look cool and beefs up noise.

Not sure I would want a louder exhaust. I'm completely stock and when I drive around neighborhood or in parking lots people always turn their head as if I'm some sort of hoonigan. Not quite but they can always hear me coming. And I'm not speeding or hooning. Anyone else experience that lol? (Manual trans).

I have a bright orange truck, sometimes I get "the look" -- I hope it is admiration... :notsure:

It does seem that more people speed up when I am passing than any other vehicle I have owned -- just observation, no data to prove it.
