We have a yellow and a black Lab now. They pretty much rule the roost.

I also had a Chocolate Lab - he's been gone 6 years now and I still miss him. Charlie aka the Big Brown Butthead.

    Never too late to join.

I was a bit stiff this morning. Got the skid plates installed on Sunday. Things take longer than they did when I was much younger. I told my wife I am not too old to work on the truck, but when you don't work on something you get old.

Buddy of mine ran that Austin Half Marathon on Sunday and joined Monday's boxing class. They have a program called "Gladiator Fitness" he is a runner, but working on strength training. So as we finished up an hour of core & boxing, I told him "Pilates 100". Flat on the ground, torso off the ground. Legs straight, heels off the ground. Arms out straight by your hips. Now move them about 4" up and down. That's 1. Repeat while holding 100 times. I find if I do these, I have no issues with a 12# medicine ball doing the roman twist. The more I engage those muscles the fewer back issues I have.

Feeling good. I haven't done that Pilates 100 in ages, so my back is a little tender but not overdone. Hint, starting off try five and work up slowly over time to give yourself time to adjust. I need to get back into the habit of 10 Sun Salutations in the morning. 22 pushups are good but just need to push myself.

Looks good Ken. I can relate to the hour job taking 3 and a half hours.

Welcome to the porch. Just wait till the mod bug bites you it never lets go. LOL I have a base EX cab and you have to do everything yourself because all the add on goodies are for the 6 lug crowd. But it is fun working on vehicles.

Today I have nothing planned except guitar practice. Feels kind of good. I am going to wait till Saturday to install the driveway replacement light so my son can help. He wanted me to wait. I think it has dawned on him that he will one day own the house and he wants to learn how to maintain it.

All these puppy pictures and no comment from Susan. She is slacking and that is not like her. ;)

Good Morning Porch People! Don't know why, but the sun is coming out, so the weather they talk about must all be later. Guess I have some big pots to empty and dump for the wife today - must be something else simple to do in my book. Split up the tomatoes in the greenhouse yesterday in the drizzle, and found the first Roma of the year starting. Yay food!

Welcome @Always Thinking , don't be shy about filling that cooler - it's serious business around here! And post up a Taco pic too!

    Happy Hump-Friday to all!

Two best dogs I had. The first dog we ever got as a couple, and then the last dog we will ever own. We did have one other that deserves mention, a Rott/golden cross, but I have no pics of him.

    Good morning all,

Welcome @Always Thinking - great bunch of people here and as you can see it isn't just about our Taco's. Kind of a coffee group..

Finishing up grading the property after the septic debacle but not today, woke to freezing rain and snow on the way today through the night then it warms back up.

You guys had to post past puppers. I miss my boys (labs). We have two Goldens now, good dogs but not labs - no offense Susan still love them and they are family.

Here is Phoenix and Max, lost Phoenix a week before Christmas, Max (red lab) left us four years ago:

It's been a long time since Deb and I had any pups, but we do enjoy and spoil the Grand pups.

Propane rant: Went to two different propane fill up places today with no luck. The first place the propane would not come out of the storage tank to fill the smaller 20lb tank. This site has been broken every time I have gone there in the last 3 months. My second stop was at a gas station that only fills propane tanks after 2pm. The woman in the booth said she did not know how to fill a propane tank. Yeah right, just too lazy. She did offer an exchange but I own the tanks and I want them refilled. At a propane exchange. Lowes or HD, you are lucky to get 15lb of propane in a 20lb tank. After my music lesson tomorrow it is off to ACE hardware I go to have the tanks filled. End Rant!

When we were having our house built, the builders sales agent told us we were only allowed to have natural gas barbecues. Tanks were not allowed. It was BS, sales gimmick to get more money, but we had the natural gas hook up out on the deck and It is great. Never have to run out of propane half way through a steak. I know some folks don't have access to gas and I used to do the tank refills. That was a royal pain. Hope you get them filled Tom.

    @95SLE

So... back in the good GOOD old days, humans discovered that meat cooked over a wood fire was tasty. Much later, humans moved the fire inside, with a hole in the roof to let out the smoke. Still later, folks discovered the convenience of natural gas stoves. Then, someone complained that the wood smoke taste was gone, so they built brick bbqs outside to get back to nature. That was too much nature for some, who bought bottled butane and lost the smoke taste again. Lots of guys said butane was too much fuss, and piped in natural gas to their stainless steel bbqs. Then some smart guy put a cute little aluminum pan full of wood chips in the bbq, which helped a little bit. I don’t have any little wood chips today, so I gotta go find a woodsman and buy some from him. ...Or maybe I’ll just go gather some firewood.

I just gave my BIL a tote box of once fired brass I've accumulated over the years.
Amazing to see the price tags on the boxes of 20,30,and 40 year old ammunition.

I just passed on my 250 Savage to my son along with ten boxes of hard to find ammo. Last year I was passing through a little back-roads town and saw a tiny little gunshop, stopped in to look, and found six full boxes and one almost full of 250 Savage on a high shelf. I asked the guy what he wanted for it and he said, "Fifteen bucks." I said I'd take it all.

    He charged me fifteen bucks.

    SCORE!!! :bananadance:
