    Good morning everyone!!!

I cut the grass yesterday and picked up the clippings. Then I put the license plate disable in reverse mod in my Tacoma - easy and fast. Good quality harness.

We had a big storm come through about 7 last night - power went out for 4 hours or so. Generator kicked in and it was like nothing happened. Watched TV until 10 and then went to bed. I walked the dogs before we went to bed and I was the only place that I could see that had lights. I love this new system.

Rain for most of today so I'll find some inside projects.

    Be safe!!!

    Good Morning Mark

Looks like rain coming a bit past noon here; first light in about 4 hrs (0453L). Reckon I'll get on with the annual harvest of dog poop that got snowed in through Winter shortly after sunrise. Never get it all between snows.
Then do fluid changes on quad, planning to use it next week getting out to cabin. Sow pig should be birthing piglets around next Friday 7 May. We hope to be out there when she does to save as many as possible. Break up is a freight train going fast this year. Danny going out solo today. Hopes to get in with Jeep, as we blew a bead on front tractor tire last Friday. I brought it out in Stitch and he's taking it back in repaired. Thought occurred he might have to come out on tractor depending how bad trail gets how fast. Saw 67°F Monday, odds are on the fickle witch winning another round.

Have a great day despite the rain Sir ... keep your powder dry. ;)

    Respect :oldglory:

    Good Morning Folks.

Hi Susan . Just a few puppy pictures posted. Hope you enjoyed:). How are yours doing?

Have an enjoyable poop patrol morning Rob. I always had to carry extra poop bags with me when I would take Angus for a walk. He would leave some here, some there, and Grand pop was left to pick it up after him...I'm glad I don't have to wipe his butt:rolleyes:. Deb and I are supposed to get Angus and his sister Arya for the weekend but if it rains my son and DIL will change their plans.

And to all, Have a great day and most importantly, BE Safe!

    Good morning all,
Welcome to the porch Always Thinking. Grab a chair if you can find one.
We( my wife and I ) have to get prepared for a house full of grandkids tomorrow. They will be with us till May 10. So a lot of activity. It is ok. Just a cheap way to get the old bones moving. They do their school work virtually so I have to be quiet. We were checking out the WIFI power and it was good. It will be a first for us having 5 kids using WIFI doing school work. How times have changed. I have to watch the dog as he isn't to child friendly but he will be ok. He (the dog) is a 110# GSD. He has been with us for 7 years after he left mom. Great dog very loyal to us and especially to me. He wants to get right into what you are doing. So as always be healthy, wealthy, and wise and have a great day.

The two locations I went to re about 5 minutes from home. Ace is about 20 min away. FWIW, I received a $25 reward coupon from ACE in the mail yesterday. :dancingbacon::broccoli::bananadance:

I use the propane on an outdoor griddle. I have a pellet smoker and two charcoal grills on the patio too. Tonight is Sausage and peppers along with cut up potatoes on the griddle for dinner.

I knew the puppy picks would result in a visit from Susan.

    Good morning all,

Septic system inspection today, filter in and everything is functioning as it should be. Couldn't get out and finish grading yesterday - snowed all day at times we had maybe 2" on the ground and it was 40 - a cold 40 degrees. Altitude snow, this morning it was in the low 20's but should get up to the mid 50's today and warmer the next two. Ordered another load of fill dirt to smooth out the new mound so it isn't an obvious MOUND in the middle of that area.

Headed to ACE Hardware here to get 20lbs of grass seed that grows in this soil to help with erosion in the areas we just duck up. Already have straw bails from covering the system while it was getting repaired.

Have a great day everyone, be safe

My uncle told me that he and grandpa rode the "inter-urban" into Indianapolis to pick up the families first T. The dealer had a mechanic take them for a ride and show them how to operate the trans, spark controls and so on - use of the crank to start. So they took a jaunt around Indy and then back out to the westside to the farm. Got home and realized the mechanic didn't show them how to shut it off. So then - they parked it with the front bumper on a big Ash tree behind the house and stalled the engine. Later, gathered the boys to roll it to an open area where it could be re-started to go to a neighbors place to get "advice". Grandpa preferred horses........

I figured so, I guess from now on you best stick with the people you know will take care of you. Sad to say it seems finding competence and integrity is getting more difficult with every passing day. Nice $25 score. :)

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Supposed to be a grey and gloomy day, so it's "what's on the putz list?". Do have to put a new controller in a water tight box in the greenhouse - someone forgot to tighten a fitting and got the old one wet...:anonymous:
    Speaking of wet, we were SUPPOSED to stay on the "not serious" side of the storm last night, but ended up with a Tornado warning about 20 miles South, and tons of thunder and lightning. Looked like this;

    Screenshot_20210428-202114_KXAN Weather.jpg

And then, they all decided to just parade up I-35, and pretty much left us alone as they were supposed to. 0.33" and nothing serious for us. Lucky again!

Should hear about my truck today, and I got my FIRST SS direct deposit yesterday! Guess where that is going? Oh well, they haven't charged me for my shocks order yet, so, it'll work out....

    Have a good fourth Friday!

Sad day in PA. I took the wife for lunch and parked on the street in front of the restaurant. I went to pay for the parking at the kiosk and a guy asked if that was my truck? I said it was and he pointed at a lady half parked in front of me and said she hit it :annoyed::annoyed:. Not even 3 weeks old and
    [IMG]
And the worse part is she had a 1994 Toyota Camry ( not even in good condition)...fortunately we got a cop on scene and her insurance has already been in touch with me. :censored::censored:

The officer that showed up to file a report was a nice guy. Asked if I was in the service, when I told him I was, he thanked me for my service and I asked him if he was and he said he was so I double thanked him for his service (military and LEO). He then started talking about my Tacoma and said he has an "02 and loves it. Mean while the lady that hit me was getting impatient o_O because we were talking trucks instead of the accident. Finally he finished and left. Deb and I had lunch but it wasn't the same. We'll see how long this takes to get repaired.

Damn that just sucks. At least it wasn’t a hit and run, should be a pretty easy fix I would think.
