I don't have any scientific evidence to support it, but I wouldn't install an "arc" light bar unless I was doing so for aesthetic purposes. The degree of angle is so small...

The output would be very similar, with minor differences. The OnX6 will have the advantage in overall intensity and output, with about 20 percent more output. That said, the LP9 will target more lighting zones, such as the nearfield and cornering zones with use of the Integrated Peripheral Lighting. The LP9 also has the advantage of increased lateral aiming/adjustment.

If these are the only forward projecting lights you plan to install, and finite tuning/aiming is more important to you, then I suggest the LP9 pair. If you prefer higher intensity, straight in front of you, I would go with the OnX6+.

Didn't see this before my response. Spot on! Thanks for getting here first.

And yes, we echo your thoughts on the Arc bars. We don't make the Arc series for performance sake. If anything, we have found the spread provided by the arc to be less ideal than a straight bar. We bend the bars almost exclusively for aesthetic reasons as well as fitment.

I tried searching before posting this, and didn't see it from my quick halfass reading but...I was bout to order this lens kit and noticed it would allow me the option for free shipping? Is this legit, or is this what you guys mark for people who wanna pick up in person? Cause I'll take the free shipping lol, but I don't wanna click it then order and then it never ends up shipping

Send me a PM with your order number. If it hasn't shipped yet, I will try to offset the cost with some swag:)

EDIT: I put on my detective hat and found your order on the FedEx truck. Consider yourself swagged.

Yes, we will cover this 100%. I will shoot you a pm right now to connect you with a Tech and Warranty rep. Sorry you have to deal with the trouble, this is a really tough one for us to catch right until it starts happening. We are working on phasing these out in favor of a different coating, but the S8 is a bit behind.

I was hoping there was a way to mount it without having to drill into the rack to move the crossbar but my lack of patience and eagerness to start the install I already drilled it. came out better then I was expecting.

Apologies if this has already been asked before, but where is the best spot to wire the RTL-S to? Are there any custom harnesses out there that can help with it?

The type you'd need is called a rectifier diode. Simply put, they only allow electricity to flow one direction on a circuit. So it's like a one way exit at a movie theater.

Here's a link to one that should work for this application but I'm sure if you spend more than 10 seconds you can find a cheaper one.

The key to not having hood glare is to have the light a little further back. I have a 40” s8 and it’s fantastic.
