    Hello, Folks, I’m new here.

This week I took delivery of my Truck after a 108 day wait:

    Scott's Truck Day 1.jpg

This is my first Toyota of any kind, but both my Father and my Son currently drive Gen 2 Tacomas. I’m not new to four wheel drive vehicles, though. I’ve owned an International Scout (Green), a Jeep CJ5 (Green), a Land Rover (Light Green 1970 model – still have it), a Range Rover (the “Classic” body style, Green), and for the last 15 years drove a Ford Ranger V6 4x4 (yep, Green). Plus other Jeeps and Land Rovers, mostly driven by my wife or sons. After all that, I’m looking forward to a long spell of that famous Toyota reliability.

I live in East Tennessee, and these days mostly drive off road at my mountain-side farm up near the Virginia Border. So this is a work truck in addition to my daily driver. I’m on dirt almost every weekend, but stay away from the hard stuff. Tried it, and decided - Not my bag, Baby.

While I have the floor, I’d like to say thanks to everyone for all the information I’ve already soaked up while waiting for delivery. This is a fun and informative community. Looking forward to more of the same.

    Scott

First army green OR access cab I’ve seen, holy balls that looks good!

If one of those showed up around here I’d have a lot of explaining to do with the Mrs.:D

    Looks great.

Do all AC OR have rear parking sensor? I have never seen one with the chrome bumper.

Not all. Mine doesn't. I didn't want pay $700+ additional for more squawking sensors.

    Thanks, All!

I like your new Tacoma. I was wondering when you ordered your Tacoma what kind of paperwork did you get. I ordered mine last Saturday and I have yet to see any paperwork for what I ordered.

Not much. The salesman had printed out a description of a very similar truck (In retrospect I now realize they thought they could snag that allocation, but it didn't pan out) and attached a short hand-filled "customer order" sheet that specified the price as MSRP minus any program discounts (I got $1,000 off) plus the dealers processing fee, plus state and local taxes. No numbers, just those item listed. We both signed it.

Thank you. That’s what they did for me, they printed off a similar truck and deducted it’s options to show me a price comparison because I’m using the Toyota employee discount program. It’s funny because the truck they used for comparison is sitting on their lot right now.
