I haven't had any tools of their that are bad. I'm a Makita guy for cordless tools mostly. But I have a Ryobi right angle drill, and some outdoor battery equip and it's good too

This. Get a few of the $30-$50 grinders for different discs. Also learn how to change the discs without the wrench cause you will loose it.

I finally got a cordless Dewalt for the shop at work. Other than draining batteries quick it is awesome for jobs away from the shop.

I didnt even know Ryobi made a legit impact gun. I always thought of them as a "lets build a swingset/deck one weekend" then sit on the shelf for a year kinda tool brand. My dad has their 18v drill, its OK. My 12v Milwaukee can run circles around it but its twice the price too.

My one coworker as all ryobi tools across the board, they're weekend warrior homeowner quality. So not good getting used every day

Otherwise I guess they're okay. I'm a DeWalt guy all the way and have beat the tar outta my tools, then again my ex coworker was able to snap the handles on 2 dewalt impacts in only 4 yrs so maybe I'm not as hard on my tools as I think I am lol

It's a feel good brand for occasional home users when it comes to most things. Nothing is exceptional but at the price it won't hurt the wallet and it won't let you down. The angle grinders might be the exception haha, they're damn good. I've even used 6" wheels on em.

I can't believe I shook your hand! You should be ashamed, that's not something one says in the presence of peers. That's like admitting you have fart fetish in the chocolate fountain line at golden corral... You just don't.

My grinders at the house are the cheapo Skil and Porter-Cable $20 ones. Its hard to screw up a grinder imo.

The skil grinders from Amazon are awesome! Buy 4 of them and just leave a variety of wheels/discs on them and laugh in the face of others at their inefficiency.

People who only have a single grinder and switch wheels during a project are actual troglodytes.

Pretty sure this is why we both ended up with cordless makitas too.

I think bearings in mine might be going, it makes some interesting noises when it's spinning down. Those fine particles are hell on mechanical stuff.

You would hate working with me, not only do I only have a single grinder and a well practiced wheel switching ritual, I also only have one outlet in my garage. :bananadead:
