    Which part?

edit: I did just have a lightbulb go off. What if it wasn't a leak? The truck was at an incline, nose up, when I removed the t case. A little oil could have just seeped out when I pulled the transfer case, much like how you lose some oil when you remove a CV. I'm gonna wait and see if it continues before dropping the t case again. Toyota FIPG is pretty solid stuff

That’s entirely possible and in your case I hope it’s only that.

i was saying I haven’t seen the #33 in the second pic and I haven’t seen anyone else report a leak from there

I would think it is more of that large o-ring that is on the t-case snout where it mate to the trans. Not very often do you see it leak where there is fit pig or silicone.

On my 6 speed mt I used the factory transfer case shifter from the auto fj case and I didn’t have to modify it. It’s close going into 6th but it clears

I’ve been told that the shifter off a mt fj has a little more bend in it. If it’s too close for you with the auto shifter

That was I was thinking. For 1/3 of the price of a TRD short throw (just as an example, I think the URD is cheaper) the FJ MT shifter with the bend might be worth trying.

    Although I like short throws...

I just wanted to know if it'd work without one.

CFBB5325-D171-4B58-AAF2-049808450291.jpg They actually touch. I might swap it out for the mt shifter down the road but it doesn’t bother me now

I have done that too. But maybe I'm just like it every which way.
Wait, what..... nevermind, I'm still on topic.

I'm waiting on a new front flange for the FJ t case I ordered. Toyota sent me the wrong part and it didn't match.

When I do the swap, which should be soon, if the FJ MT shifter works as a decent alternative, i'll take pics for yall.

EDIT: and if it doesnt work then i'll fork the money for the short throw..

FIPG (Fip-ige) -> speech to text I imagine -> Fit Pig.

    Nice pig.

    vxum3belwljy.jpg

Yeah 103 FIPG is good stuff, and I've had good success with Permatex "The Right Stuff" too.

Tried it when I thought I wasn't getting a good seal on my oil pan with Toyota FIPG but my leak eneded up being a rear main seal.

Supposably it's gear oil rated unlike the FIPG Black stuff. (103 and 102 IIRC) so you're supposed to be able to use it in place of the red stuff that burns the nose and takes 24hrs to cure but I haven't tried that yet.

For my FJ case I'll probably just use the Toyota Red because I'm extra and "Red Boxed" as my Toyota Master Tech Uncle says.

I’ve had good luck with the right stuff. Used it on both diffs multiple times with no leaks.
