Fucking garage door fell on it... first time I put it in there... I can’t seem to win lately

 

Gotcha. I just bought the truck and the PO gave me the receipt for the lift install and it did have a diff drop done. I don't know how to check really but if the lift is adjustable, I'll just lower it a bit. Is there a way to check if my CVs are junk without removing them?

 

You can reboot them, but those don't have the green sticker shaft indicating OEM, meaning they could be aftermarket...I wouldn't bother rebooting aftermarket CV axles. They're cheap from the parts store, not worth the hassle to reboot.
OEM on the other hand are $$$ and worth rebooting.

Doesn't look like you have adjustable coilovers, unless those eibach shocks are adjustable like 5100s are, not sure.

If they're not you'll have to swap the springs up front for different ones for less lift

You don't have spacers on top of the coilovers do you? If you do, I'd remove those first and see where it sits.

 

The receipt shows "Top Plate Spacer" with the lift, I will double check when I can get under the truck. I'll just replace the CVs if that is the case. I'll see about rebooting these to keep around as spares...

 

Yeah check the spacers, if they're 1/2" thick then they're giving you a full inch of lift.... Taking those out would definitely help your angles


If they're just those little 10mm lean spacers then they aren't really doing much

Yeah! I’ll have to touch it up... we’ll see how it is to touch up tinted raptor. Dented the hood. The only straight panel on the entire vehicle.

70 lbs fell on it from a 2.5 feet. There’s one little spot where it cut through. Dented the hood pretty good though. Can’t get at it from the back side either.

 

Pretty sure I fixed my low voltage at idle. I believe it was the dielectric grease I added to the terminal on the alternator. In trying to find the issue I swapped back the old alt wire, that didn’t make a difference. I cleaned everything really well wiping all the grease off before re installing the new 2 gauge wire again and when I took it for a drive my voltage was no longer dropping. So I’m hoping I’m good to go!

 

Well, I finally found the Lexus equivalent for the front diff fill plug (to convert it to a normal head like I did with the drain plug). It uses a 14mm head, and like the drain plug, eliminates the risk of rounding out the hole. Pick up your own: Lexus Front Diff Fill Plug (90341-18060)

Right after I bedlined my truck I was reversing back into the garage with my drivers door open and power slammed it into the brick around my parents garage.

the best thing to do is avoid garage after bed liner it seems

Do Toyota and Lexus share part numbers? That number also shows up as a Toyota transaxle plug used by... pretty much every FWD vehicle in the Toyota lineup.

I think in this case they do share part numbers. Not true for all plugs (the drain for instance isn't shared). I ordered the Lexus part (from a Toyota dealer) when I ordered.

 

Yeah they share part numbers for pert near everything. We just picked up a gx470 and pretty much the only part numbers not shared with Toyota is some interior things.

That's the drain plug. He was talking about the fill plug.

 

Replaced the mutilated stock muffler with a borla muffler + piping

 

Then I proceeded to breaking the custom exhaust job with a mound of dirt ‍♂️ You can see where the pipe hits the leaf spring; inches short of the bumpstops
