    wow! Truck porn!

Where did you get your rims from?

    :annoyed:

I backed into a ditch that had metal fence poles with cement on them in my 4runner. Set me back a couple hundred bucks for a new bumper and paint. So mad because the runner is pretty damn clean. Stupid mistake on my part

You don't need a winch, or even traction boards to get that truck out. All you need is a shovel.

Full body work and repaint done on my 1st gen with a new camper. Reupholstered the front seats. Ordered deaver leafs, JBA uca, and fox all around. Just waiting for those to arrive. Going to slap on the latest OR wheels to match. He’s going look great. Looking for a good tranny shop in Santa Cruz if you know of one. Pics to come after the suspension.

Would have been digging for a ways, but you’re correct. I shouldn’t have taken my shovel out of the pickup when I cleaned the bed out.

I installing a new generator today. I love how easy it is on my 2000 Tacoma compared to my RSX. Soooo easy...except for the fact that some tool totally rounded off the nut on the tension lock bolt and after hours of attacking it every way I could think of, I finally just had to cut the damn bolt at the base of the nut. So no tensioning the pulley and belt, no driving until I can find a replacement for this special bolt. I wonder if my local parts stores might have one...seems unlikely, somehow I suspect I am going to be waiting until next week on a new bolt before I can drive again. Sigh.

Ps just learning how to post photos to the forum so testing the difference between a thumbnails d a full size image.

You could always try doing it old school and use a pry bar to hold tension, while you tighten up the bolt. Could get you by until you get a new part.

Also, these alternators usually only need new brushes, did you try replacing them?

The important thing here is that my wife likes the way the new suspension feels.

Pretty bummed! Went to the differential shop to drop my truck off (40 mins away) for a front locker install and he was closed up. I was scheduled to drop it off some must have closed unexpectedly, annoying as hell still. Especially because I had someone follow me out there, got there around lunch time so I waited an hour because I thought maybe he was grabbing food. Was really my only shot of dropping it off because I’ll be too busy with work next week.
