With the insurance they will probably just offer more to total it. Damn shame though, all it needs is a good clean and dry, fresh filters and fluids, purge the fuel system and run it. It is a toyota after all

The thing that sucks is it won't be today but some time in the future, when the wiring corrodes, that will suck.

Dive - voluntarily go on life support together while swimming (not surfing) on a bright sunshiny day.

LMAO... Well I guess I missed the R

But anyway... figured I'd still share the fact that some of us are going to get back out in the woods after a bit of truck hibernation.

Before I bought my Viking Drysuit, I had a mostly neoprene one. Ruined it recovering a car at the break-water in Monterey.

My advice? Rent a dry-suit and all the gear if you wanna do that :D

Yosemite is implementing the reservation system again this year. In prior years, they haven't allowed for transiting the park via Tioga Pass Road. This year, they're just gonna take $35 and you can drive across the park (without stopping).

    Hopefully, the pass opens soon!

Or get a season pass for about the cost of two trips.

Or if you have a fourth grader it’s free! We visited half a dozen parks last year with that pass.

How much for the kid? Is it cool strapped to the roof? What do you feed it? Will kibble be OK?

More seriously, I have a season pass. Where I was going was last year, you couldn't show up at the gate and drive across 120 unless you had a reservation-completely stupid.

Yeah I saw that about the pass. 108 was free though (and quicker from the SF Bay Area..).

Yeah same with 4. Definitely need that low gear.

Drove 50 for the first time in ...a few years last summer and really enjoyed it. Only one steep section as you drop into the SLT area.

With 88 and 80 always being more direct for me, 50 is rarely a good option. I’m glad I took the time.

I remember a trip to the meadows to do some climbing and happened on a small car(civic maybe) that T-boned a tree, at night, no skid marks. We were first on the scene and my dad being an anesthesiologist wasn’t going anywhere. He didn’t ride along but the couple were both a mess, he had his chest wrapped around the steering column along with the folded steering wheel. Windshield was broken in front of both of them. I hear people say all the time “I’m good for 12 hours or 750 miles” and I remember that night. Don’t push it, it’s not worth it.
