whatever I want to at the time. If I want to open carry my Beretta 21A or conceal carry my Ares Raider, then I should be able to do that. As Gunny Hartmann would say, "I don't care if it harelips every cannibal in the Congo!"

who determines qualifications? If it's anyone besides myself I'm not interested in your requirements. Right now, Texas has okay requirements for cc/oc, but anything stricter is bullshit.

yes we have to ask because "unqualified" is a loaded phrase nowadays. If unqualified means (to a government entity) wrong race/creed/religion/political affiliation, then that's bullshit too

No need to get all butthurt by a simple question. i have no problems with some sort of check to make sure someones not mentally unstable. the problem is whats "unstable"? and who is determining that. i get the idea behind red flag laws but its to much of a gray area and he said vs she said type of thing. Red flag laws are a huge infringement as they are currently written

I said nothing referring to "....race/creed/religion/political affiliation.....".

Guys, don't go all ballistic because you disagree.
If you are unwilling to follow the law, then you need to accept the consequences.

I will bow out of this conversation due to the inevitable attacks that will be directed. Y'all have a great day.

so if the law states there are no restrictions you’re cool with it?

slippery slope. laws can be interpreted differently based on viewpoint leaning.

untrained = goal post can be moved on when you are fully "trained"
unlicensed = paywall with varying amounts depending on state
illegal possession = this is currently as strict as it needs to be
mentally unstable = this is where you really lose anyone. this is going to fluctuate so far back and forth on who qualifies.

Have to agree with that one. To each their own and all, but for me personally, I won't open carry.

98% of the time I really don't feel the need to carry at all.

no one's attacking, we're asking what "laws" you're referring to? And I asked about unqualified in the eyes of the law, what that means. bowing out now just means you lose an opportunity to be educated/have your opinions challenged in a non-inflammatory way.

Beautiful truck. Mind if I ask what wheels, tires and suspension you’re running there? Wheels look similar to my Methods.
