    I had problems connecting at first. 5 min in it connected but some frame drops and down rez sporadically.

    They love Americans over there. Especially since the US is basically the center of the world when it comes to entertainment. Movies, TV shows, etc. And if you go to the major cities, just about everyone speaks some kind of English, so pretty easy to get around.

    Algarve, which is where Portimão is, is the equivalent to Florida. Beaches, tourism, etc. GO!

    What good non tourist trap places should I go to. I don't like that touristy type places. But yes my great grandparents are from Spain and italy so i want to visit my heritage lands and would hit Portugal in the process.

    There's a lot to see just about everywhere to be honest. But the major things are definitely the bigger cities and touristy type places unfortunately. But if you don't want to hit those areas, go up north to the area of Braga and Guimarães. A lot to see, and not a major touristy area. Or go to the center, around Coimbra. Also lots to see, and not a major touristy area. Portugal isn't very big, so you can get around fairly quickly.
