But, where is that? With it now being stay left except to past, cruising in the right lane is just holding folks up also. :D

I was driving a backroad and an oncoming car was flashing their high beams frantically.

I had no idea what was going on so I slowed down and there was a huge buck standing in my land around a blind corner.

That guy saved me a lot of trouble that day.

I was driving home from work a few days ago. I was beside a semi and he was trying to move into my lane, guy several car lengths behind me flashed his lights!!! I had to move into the fully paved shoulder to avoid the semi, slowed a bit, and moved back into the passing lane. After an incident like that, that trucker will probably not rely on us civilian drivers for a while. I had to make myself believe the driver behind me was a 90-year-old blind woman so my road rage would not get the best of me.

I was almost pushed into a wall by a truck coming into my lane for absolutely no reason (nobody in front of him). I laid on the horn as I braked and dodged him. He blasted his horn back like it was my fault.
I won't say truckers are getting worse, but there are a lot of dangerous drivers, everywhere.
    Kinda looking forward to automation.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
Other countries do it too as a courtesy. When I lived in Japan drivers, especially taxis would flash their lights to thank a driver for letting them in. I find myself doing it occasionally, but I doubt anyone Other than truck drivers know the meaning.

It's because the "they flashed their brights at me" doesn't hold up in court.

I remember the west Texas courtesy of the hand gesture from the wheel; 4 fingers = “hey, have a nice day”, and 2 fingers = “speed trap ahead”. Hmmm, or was it the other way around? o_O

Here in WA and OR, except eastern OR. That have lane discipline over there for some reason.

When some dumb fuck flashes their bright lights when I look in my mirror to see if I can get back in and am nearly blinded, I’d like to run them right off the fucking road.

We have a spring loaded toggle switch that can shut the trailer lights off.

They have a single suicide middle passing lane for both directions, they’re awesome!! Not yielding to uphill traffic, try dealing with idiots doing that while passing a semi while pulling a trailer uphill in your Taco sometime, guy must’ve been from Cali and nearly made me swing the front end into the back of the semi trailer I was passing to get out of his way. Luckily, the semi saw it and gave me clearance to move over into his lane a bit. My trailer brakes worked great and didnt lock up or jackknife.

"Smokey bears or bare Smokies" is going to make me laugh randomly for a while now.
