with the work they did im super happy so far, sunroof and all the windows look awesome, i like the 20% even though i wouldve liked 15 but that wasnt available. Sunday i will roll down the windows to see how close they were able to get to the edge

 

I’ve got the same brand and like it. I have 30% though. Much better than nothing but I can’t compare it to other tints or the non ceramic.

When I had my 17' Sport I plastidipped the cheese grater. It was a major undertaking for me in the middle of winter, and I did it in my garage but it came out great.

Black with the clear Glossifyer over top. 6 or 7 very thin coats of black, 2 or 3 very thin coats of clear. In the summer with warmer temps it would have been so much easier. I was literally warming the paint can in hot water in a pot on the stove in between coats. If the Plastidip is cold it "spurts" out and looks like shit.

The Glossifyer just adds a little sheen, but is suppose to help keep it from fading too.

Here's a close up of how smooth I was able to get it. The trick is to resist putting down too much at once, and to just lightly add a little each time. I guess in a sense, saying 7 coats is not actually true since each one is so light. For instance, the 1st coat almost looked like it wasn't there.

And besides a couple pinhole chips from rocks, etc. Plastidip will hope up to Maryland winters just fine.

Thanks, brother! I was initially thinking of doing soms sort of automotive paint, but I think you've sold me on the plastidip. How long did you wait between coats?

 

I appreciate it. I'll put out a feeler on the SE TW Express thread to see if anyone would be running between those 2 cities, it looks like a big distance ( like going from OC MD to Frederick)
