Install Marlin Crawler HD LCA frame brace kit. Great kit fits perfectly. Some work to do around TC cam kit but not to bad.

That is the most absurd price for powder coat. You got shafted with no lube. Even 1500 is absurd. Any color and combo is done here for under 600 for all four in CA

That is literally more expensive than new rims...……. literally

I had 4 rims done for $300 CAD total, which is under $250 USD

Tied the amber backlight of my SSC2's into the hazard light circuit on my truck. Now they flash on lock/unlock + when the hazards are on. They're also on a switch so I can run them anytime (required diodes):

I saw that. Doesn't mean anything, they just multiplied all numbers by like 5 in their head

Sub and amp are finally in.

Doing a little expectation management. The sub doesn't hit as hard as I would have expected given the wattage going to it and previous stereo setups I've had with way less wattage, but I also have to remind myself I'm no longer 18 and don't need car alarm setting off bass. It's very well balanced and with the volume knob I actually end up dialing back the bass for normal listening, but there's that tiny side of me that just wants to go "LOUDNESS!".

Makes me mad that I'm apparently such an easy mark. Will be on guard for future work.

Is that sub box off the shelf or did you fabricate something custom?

Did an oil change. Normally I don't film stuff like this, but I thought why not? Also I made sure to include those grease fittings on the driveshaft that most people forget about

Good vid! I know this will be helpful and a great way to save some coin as well as give the driver an opportunity to do work on the rig.

Oil change is the gateway drug to doing your own work. Nothing on these trucks is hard to do. The process of doing the oil change is the exact same as swapping out a steering pump. Just different bits involved.

Put the money you would give to a shop to acquiring your tool set and you are set to do your own wrenching for years and years at a fraction of the price and the reward of doing it and knowing what was done and how.

It is surprising the amount of rust you have. Must be salted roads. I have a 2016 with 90k miles and no rust at all.
