Story...relax it's short, sorta. My cousin in VA Bch is 3 yrs older than I, so this happened when he was 21yo. My senior year of high school, Bart, my cousin, gets this really awesome huge parrot for Christmas. He had always wanted one and after recently moving into their own place, his GF (future wife Martha) bought him one. Back then (1982) those birds were expensive. Don't recall exactly how much, but better part of $1000 as I remember. Skip forward 6 mos and I'm down to the beach for graduation party week. Stop by Bart & Martha's of course; ask where the parrot is? Dead they tell me. I guess Bart was feeding him a cracker in the kitchen one evening and the damn bird clamped down on his index finger super hard and would not let up, or something along those lines. Bart slung that parrot full force into the wall and killed it graveyard dead on the spot.
