As I understand it, the ST Maxx has been discontinued. I believe this tire is the replacement. I would suspect that they'll be introducing more sizes soon.

I love my ST Maxx. Really hoping these are a worthy replacement.

Woah that’d make some waves if it’s true. Hope these are as great as they look to be.

Honestly, at 57 lbs, it's basically C-load weight, with an E-load rating. It doesn't seem to ride any stiffer than my C-load KO2's. But time will tell.

Just what discount tire told me. But the fact that they no longer have it on their website, kind of substantiates the claim. Also seems to be limited on other sites as well.

Still heavy AF. KO2s in the same size/C LR are only 51.32 lbs. I'm hoping for a 255/75R17 in a C LR and somewhere in the mid to high 40s for weight. again KO2s are pretty light in 255/75R17 in a C LR at 45.48 lbs. Not a KO2 fan boy, but the weight is enticing.

They're also not a true 33" tire. They're 32.8" and not nearly the tread depth... it's not a huge difference, but it explains the weight loss. A comparable 33" tire would be the D-load 285/70/17 Duratrac. However, it's 55 lbs...

End all... 33's are heavy. Most of them, skinny or not, are closer to, or above 60 lbs. The only exceptions are Hwy tires...

Agree, 33's are heavy and I really like the Cooper RTs. The Tacoma is 98% DD, I want to save the unspring weight so I'm good with a 32" tire. I run 33" KOs on my 01 Wrangler TJ with I6, 5 speed, and 4.10 gears. That thing struggles when I think about driving up a hill!

This statement is all too true. Never thought I'd be replacing parts that weren't broken on my truck... Now I seem to be doing it weekly.

Just an update for anyone interested. It's been raining here in Seattle, like it commonly does... these Rugged Trek's have been awesome so far. My KO2's were very easy to break free in the rain, and these Rugged Trek's haven't slipped yet. I haven't "tried" to make them slip, but I also never tried to make the KO2's slip. Apple to apple comparison, the Rugged Trek's are beating out the KO2's for traction.
