BTW, Im looking for a 3rd gen Tacoma 4wd. But Im trying to find a unicorn, I want one with a bad engine trans.
I plan on building an LT setup with an LS motor and trans etc.
However these insane Covid prices are absolutely nuts!!

That being said just about everything has doubled in price in the last year or so, wood has gone up almost 200%, just bought a steak yesterday, it cost about double. No bueno!

Anyway if anyone has a lead on a 3rd gen with bad motor/trans please let me know. But its not likely that there are any around since Tacomas dont break very often.

Every once in a while I can find a deal on meat. Back in January I found bacon for $4/ lb. Also tri tip for $4/ lb back in middle of march. Other than that it is all expensive.

I have a feeling it will only get worse..

Yeah should be a pretty badass setup with what Im planning to do to it!

Sweet, Ill check them out. I might look into getting a dealer license as well, I might start fixing and flipping these things.

Anyone have any suggestions for multi day destination trails in the SoCal/Vegas/AZ area similar to Mohave Road?

I'm assuming you're not wanting to do the Mojave because it fits the description of what you're looking for.

Next thought would be Death Valley but it may be getting a little toasty out there. :bananadead:

I'm assuming you're looking for more desert than technical 4x trails?

I assumed you were planning for recent, like this month.

Death Valley would be my next go to from Mojave. Especially for that time of year.

There’s the AZ Peace trail that runs up and down the western part of AZ. The CA BDR goes from the border near Yuma to Bishop. The AZ BDR goes from Sierra Vista to Page on the eastern side of AZ.

    Hey guys,

My 2019 at 15K miles already has a chirping serpentine belt which is pretty disappointing. I spray some water on the pulleys and it goes away only to return days later. I'm thinking it may have to do with all of those dusty rides in the desert hence why I'm posting this in the SD forum, plus the dry air here...

Aside from replacing it with something of better quality, wondering if ya'll recommend spraying some silicone spray on it or WD40? IDK, I had an SUV before this with 160K miles and never had an issue with my belt...Then again, never ran it through Anza a dozen times.....Willing to bet Toyota won't replace under warranty for that little symptom...

Your truck is under warranty, belts are use items but they may take care of you if you ask the right person

No wd40 will kill it for sure. Could give the truck a nice bath first and bring it to Toyota mall crawler clean. Tensioner might have some dirt in it. Could cycle it a few times first to see if that is the issue.

I had this happen to my truck after our first Death Valley trip. A good cleaning fixed the problem. Do not spray WD-40
