    Introducing! TacomaWorld Capture The Flag!

    Here's how it works:
I will start the game by placing the "flag" (seen below) on my truck. The flag pole is magnetically attached to the bed of my truck, so it can be quickly, easily, and safely removed. Other TacomaWorld members, who are playing the game, will try to "capture" the flag, by spotting my truck with the flag, and when it's safe to do so, will remove the flag from my truck. The person who captures the flag will then place the flag on their truck and wait for someone to capture it from them... So on and so forth... Simple, right?

    20210430_185301.jpg

    20210430_185307.jpg

    Here's the rules:
    1. Be safe - Obvious, right? Don't try to grab the flag while a vehicle is moving. Don't try to jump out at a stop light to grab it. Don't jump in front of a moving truck to try and stop them... duh, but it has to be said.
    2. Respect peoples property - Do not go on private property to take the flag. Take extra care to not damage or scratch another persons car. Remove the flag carefully and respectfully.
    3. Once the flag is captured - You have 24 hrs to claim it. This means you come to this thread, tag me, and tell the forum you are now in possession. I'd also like for you to tell us where you took it (to track on a map). Then you have another 24 hrs before you have to display the flag. This means you need to devise a way to display the flag, if the current display method won't work. ie. I'm using magnets to hold the flag rod to my truck. If you take the flag and the rod, but it doesn't work for you, you need to figure a way to display it, within 48 hrs. If this doesn't seem doable, then don't take the flag.
    4. Customize it - When you capture the flag, I'd like you to write your TW username on it. Don't make it huge so others can't fit their name. Just a reasonable height text. Also, feel free to add more flare or improve the flag. There will have to be multiple editions of the flag, as they fill up or get worn.
    5. That's not yours - Once you've attached something to the flag, it belongs to TW. If you use something special to mount the flag to your truck, don't plan on getting it back. The next person may need, use, or modify it. However, please don't throw unused portions away. If you don't need the magnets, feel free to remove them it you need to, but hold on to them, in case the next person needs them.
    6. No take-backs - Once a flag is taken from you, you can't be the next person to take it. I don't want neighbors trading the flag back and forth.
    7. Let them have it - If someone spots the flag, you have to let them take it. No racing to your truck in the parking lot and driving off, before they can take it. Really, the fun isn't having the flag, it's taking it and having it taken from you.
    8. Hands off you vultures - No taking the flag at meet-ups. If you're going to an organized meeting (trucks and coffee, offroading, parts sale, etc), you can't take the flag, unless the current owner allows you to. Let's keep the finding and capturing organic.
    9. No body is forcing you to play - If these rules don't sound like fun and you can't abide by them, then don't play. Feel free to "spot" the flag and provide hints to other players. But again, if you can't follow the rules, don't take the flag.
    10. There's no crying in capture the flag - This is meant to be fun. Don't be a dick! Enough said...
    11. Not written in stone - These rules are not final nor complete. These rules will be adapted as the game plays on. Please feel free to make recommendations and criticisms.
Ok gents. The game starts tomorrow. Heads up to any would be hunters, I'll be traveling from Bothell to Renton tomorrow, so there will be plenty of opportunity to be spotted.

    GAME ON!

Yup, read them. Game is on! I can attach it to my bumper. I'll use those zip ties that you can loosen with out cutters to attach it

Imitated, but never duplicated. I'm way ahead of you. My flag was specially sewn with nano-RFID-thread. I have special electronics I can use to properly identify the legit flag.

    Also, rule #10!

You're starting off in the right neighborhood. I'm a East-sider and I work in Woodinville... so plenty of opportunity for you in Fall City area. Those poor PDX boys will be twiddling their thumbs for a while.

It'd be funny if the first person to snatch it was on a cross country moving trip and next time it popped up was in Florida
