    Anyone know what on earth is going on with Softtopper? Ordered one almost two weeks ago and have no been able to get a hold of anyone at their office for days (10+ calls, messages left, emails sent)

    Company vacation?

    Maybe an idea of when this $900 product might be shipped out to me would be nice.

    That might be too much to ask though, you think?

    Should I give it another two weeks and try reaching out again?

    I’m not upset that it’s not at my doorstep in two days. It’s the fact that you literally cannot reach anyone at their office for days and days nor receive an email reply when their site says “24-48 hour responses”. It’s been way longer than that. All I’m asking for is a human being lol.

    Covid has been backing up supply chains everywhere - who knows maybe they had covid hit their production or admin facilities. You can get tour money back through your credit card if your product doesn’t ever show up.

    In a pandemic? No. I ordered mine in mid-September and had it by mid-October to Canada. at some point in between I got a shipping update and then I recieved the product. I didn't contact them once. I think there was 1 or 2 people dealing with everything at the time.

    And it's not like they're known for not following through.

    I called them this week to see if they had any in stock before placing an order. They are being hit by the metal shortage. Here is the email information they sent me. By the way, the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely nice and it seemed like they have been frantically trying to figure it out.

    "I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. If you were to order today, the earliest we would be able to ship your Softopper model TAC60B would be May 12th. However due to a major metal shortage in the US, we are experiencing extensive delays in shipping our product.


    Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated shipping date currently for all Softopper models. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience."

    I sent them two emails and haven't heard back. One for an update on stock/shipping since it had been about 2 weeks since the last update. It showed up on my doorstop so I didn't follow up. Unfortunately they didn't include the boot cover and gave me a mesh panel instead of dark tint so I sent them a new email days ago and haven't heard back. They're undoubtedly swamped but I agree that this is not exactly an encouraging outlook.

    But I'll echo what's been said here in that my phone communications with them have been very nice. I just need to stop being lazy and call.

    I’ve not ordered anything from Softtopper but am hitting a lot of delays in getting parts for a project vehicle I’m re-building https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-great-vw-thing-upgrade.717329/

    Everyone seems to be backed-up with work. Even getting a couple of body panels sandblasted took 10 days instead of the promised 7. It’s frustrating to say the least.

    Not sure buddy I bet you just caught them at a bad time or maybe they are bombarded with similar requests from other customers. With all the Covid bs it’s hard to say...I’m pretty sure they run a smaller crew there...hopefully you get in touch with someone soon

    Not trying to burst your bubble but I placed an order on April 4 and got the same email (delivery by following Monday).

    I didn’t get mine for about 2 weeks and I live 15 miles from them!
