Apparently the slyz bowie is going to be their thing that they do with small runs with different blade steels handle finishes etc. Kinda like the Ritter Hogue is to knifeworks.

I was tempted but for me i just couldn't justify 400. I have high expectations for 400 with so many great options out there. Headed to ATL blade show in June, save my $ till then.

Love my CRKT Homefront for an EDC. I have about a dozen or so other pocket knives that are great but this one takes the cake. Feels nice and sturdy in my hands, great edge and I can field strip it in 30 seconds if it needs cleaned.

That's the only time I rock it. For work I gotta use something a little bigger and tougher.

Success and failure on my Scale making.

I fully machined my first design of some scales. I did about 6 test runs before this that were all failures, but each failure led to a machining or setup change. I created and setup a jig to do a pair at a time. My cnc code did the first side perfect but for some reason added an inner grove on the second side. I decided that the thickness of this scales design is too thin so I need to redesign that part, Unless I want to use more screw points. Eventually I’m gonna try and set up a jig to run about six pairs at a time.

Once I am happy with my design and quality I’m going to produce about two dozen pairs. Then I’m going to move on to the next knives. Benchmade foray in the Benchmade Crooked river.

Awesome effort. Wood is always a win/win in my likings. Would love to see it finalized!

I don't carry it as my edc. Having the thin profile behind the edge combined with the belly shape equals a great slicer. In my opinion, big plus on having no liners and disassembles easily for easy cleaning. Lc200n is all wins for corrosion resistance!
