OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

I'm not a big video person, but if you look through the Twin Turbo topic in the '3GT - 3rd Generation Tacoma' group on Facebook, I've posted some stuff.

It's a little hard to make a satisfactory video that demonstrates what everyone wants to see though, not to mention it's not as easy as everyone seems to think to demonstrate the turbo spool/purges because it's pretty subtle sounding on video. OEM feel.

 

Alright ill take a look at that group thanks! I wonder how the truck would be with the powermaxx at 15psi? that could be a lot of fun

Have you had to accelerate fast/hard from a dead stop much to like pull out into heavy traffic? Like a semi-clutch dump I suppose.

A couple of times, went well. It's not a scenario I encounter frequently though.

 

Been almost two weeks now since you said you were sending out new tunes to fix our issues. If there’s a hold up that’s fine, but can we at least hear why? I need a new tune to fix my cold start knocking/pinging/misfiring.

I also never received a shipping notification for the fuel pump controller that was shipping out two Mondays ago. What is going on?

I had a few more tests I wanted to do and also to dyno them. I am working on getting updates sent out and have been putting a few kits together to ship today.
Also not everyone is having the specific issues you are having. The fuel pump controllers will be shipping as as soon as I can get them out. I am working on all of this. I need to send a few shipping invoices.

Also the remaining kits will be shipped out with the turbochargers and manifolds not connected. It will be explained in the updated instructions.

@OVTune, no shipping email received as of 11:40 am ET May 1st, 2021.

 

Is yours the DHL to Canada? If so DHL does their pick ups from the location at 4pm, but I'm not sure what time on weekends.

Unfortunately there is only 1 place here now that still accepts DHL drop offs, none of the UPS stores do and the DHL Hub is hours away.

 

Are you going to give remaining kits another chance to add fuel upgrade before shipping?

 

I can't right now even if I wanted to. I don't have enough and the back order on some PCB components and ST micros are just absurd.

Millions upon millions of back ordered / unavailable parts coming out of China right now.

@OVTune also no shipping notifications as of yet. No DHL. And yes I looked in junk/spam folder. I did finally get my tatrix cable though! So thank you. I sent zen desk with system ID for master key as well.

 

Yes I am, I just emailed regarding this I think 2 or 3 days ago.

I am trying to get all of this sorted out and all of this done as quickly and efficiently as I can.

Okay to be clear here I did not say I am shipping ALL TT kits out today. Not everyone is getting a new shipping notification today for TT kits.


If it's for FPCs, you won't get a new shipping notification for that, it will come with your kit. Those notifications are for people who have their kits already and getting them swapped out.

I apologize if the posts are a little confusing at the moment.

Turbo-DP gasket appears to be intact though...as best as I can tell anyway.

Did cavemen install your kit? Man I am sorry to see you have so many problems from that shops install.
