I didn't have any problem with mine. Given the number of fasteners on the stanchion, there is very little stress on each, esp the upper ones.

My only recommendation is to hit the tails and nuts with some RTV to seal them and the metal of the stanchion.

Grade 8 might be a bit overkill.

Yes, I have the OEM tri-fold and the TC stiffeners. Fits without any issues.

Not totally sold on Cali-raised’s design or paying $160 for total chaos stiffeners. I did some shopping around and found a guy right here on TW that makes them himself and ships them for 90 bucks. DONE DEAL! Even better, he just announced today he’s working on a new low-profile design that takes up practically no space and won’t interfere with a bed mat.

    Check him out @tttacodan

For what someone is paying for these, yes, I would expect better too. IMHO

You could with very minor modification. However its unlikely you could still flip it completely over. That's my intention.

I modified my Rago, so that I could use my bed extender. But, the way that I did, I cannot flip it back into the bed.

For all you Canadians out there here is a great option from a canadian fab shop with good rep.

Has anybody installed the Runnin4Tacos version? Interested to see better pics than on their website.
Wanting to know if the bracket has a tab that bolts to the front of the bed ledge here (like the CaliRaised).

After reading through this thread with pros and cons, I ordered the TC stiffeners because I don't off road like many here do and I just want some extra support for a cap that I have on order. I like the unobtrusive look over the heavier ones although I will say, the heavy ones look like they would hold up well if you rolled you truck onto it's side. Either way, I'm faced with drilling into the only brand new vehicle I've ever owned (2021). What are you guys using to seal the bolt holes with to prevent rust from starting?

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
paint is a good choice for sealing drilled hole edges.
