Dammmmmmmn son wish I had a chunk of cash like that. Oh I bet I've been following Magnuson development for out trucks from the get go and I continue to dream to have one but my taco is at 120,000 miles now and on my next taco I think I'm just gonna have the dealership throw it in with the new truck not sure if my local dealer would do that but luckily my friend and high school buddy is the manager.

Does it make it more responsive if I take it out?

It restricts - slows the response for boost when using the skinny pedal - no adverse affect related to removal - removal will result in boost sooner.

Started working after getting home from work around 630pm and stopped about 9pm. Yes, I taped over the ports after the picture. So far the instructions are pretty clear and obvious.

It's amazing how complex an ICE is today vs. 1970.

Very. The last engine I tore down this far was a 1990 Range Rover 3.9l which is basically a '70s Buick v8. Pulling the heads off that was less complicated than just removing the grill of the Tacoma.

Nice! The install is part of the fun. Enjoy. ??? Did you ever get the software issue resolved? I know .vft is/was and will continue to roll out updates. Last time I checked on that thread he said he had over a 1000 tickets to respond to. I fortunately got off the .vft wagon before he started his most recent software CF. Now I just turn wifi off and flash with the old .vft flash.

Kind of, just gave up on my own laptop and brought my work book home which worked fine to connect and get the ECU ID. Magnuson responded quickly with sending the actual tune file back so hopefully that works too. I think somewhere between the Surface Pro X being ARM based Windows 10 and adding a USB C adapter in the mix was too much.

This crankshaft bolt can go fuck itself. Everything was going smoothly until this step and the fucker won't break free even with an impact.

See if anyone auto store local to you has an impact socket? Something with more mass / strength to transfer the torque of the gun to the socket more better.

This is pretty sweet. Does Magnuson or any aftermarket make a different cover for it? I'd love to see two separate covers for the cac and the blower. Unless the cac needs to be setup that way for the blower

Mine would not come out with the air impact - took about 5 seconds with a 18V M18 Milwaukee electric. Air ain't worth shit. electric made a believer out of me.
